I have problems getting anything to grow in my front flower bed due to the trees blocking all the sun. I planted some peppermint and spearmint in there last year and this year there's a bunch of spearmint coming back. I'm so happy :) It doesn't look like the peppermint made it through the winter. So happy to hear your herbs are sprouting, Krista!

I'm working on a few badges. I'm reading the calligraphy and beef books, taking pictures of birds, growing a garden (which will help with a few badges), and have a bunch of stuff marked in my planner:

I thought adding some post it's would help me pick badges to work on. I marked so many pages I quit half way through!

Heather, you are super busy! I did the same thing with my journal, but I am not so sure it really helped lol! There are so many that I forget the requirements for each one, so I need to just focus on a few at a time. I am hoping to do a couple badges with my garden this year too!

I will have to share an update soon Jill! I have completed a couple more rows, but I would like to hopefully be halfway through the blue before I share again!

So here are two more drawings for my Make it Pretty Merit badge. All I need to do is watercolor these two then I only need to draw and watercolor one more. This is fun!
I really like my giraffe, he’s so funny.
Then my idea/dream of my cabin in the woods

Thank you Nancy. I worked on it a little bit more last night. I only have 6 more rows of blue and then I get to add in the red and white cords. I am getting so excited.

I have been working on finishing my candlemaking badges. For the expert level, I had to do some research on a candle that is available in my area. We have a local candle/bath shop in town that is ran by one of our own ladies. My daughter and I recently took a class from her and we were able to see exactly what she uses in a few of her products. We made candles and also bath bombs when we had extra time. The wax we used for the candles was a soy/coconut oil blend. We didn't use any coloring in them but did choose a fragrance from the many that she custom blends. All of her ingredients are eco friendly and non toxic. I would not be concerned about using any of the products that she sells in my home. If you want to check her out, you can find her at penelopessoapsandsuch.com.

Her products sound really nice, Debbie. Candlemaking sounds like fun. I am planning to start my candlemaking badge soon. Maybe I can order some of her products to help me. It is always more to to make things when I don't have to worry about the products that I am using!

Debbie, that sounds like fun. I attempted candle making a couple years ago. It didn't turn out so well. I will need to find someone around here like that to get me started. Great work on your badge.

I love to make candles and I love to use natural products to boot. We burn candles all fall and winter! :) I’ll have to look into starting those badges! :)

That's funny, Krista! I didn't mention the wax that ended up all over my kitchen! I had to buy a new throw rug yesterday...haha!
