Very nice, Vanessa! I started later in life with quilting, too! I am 72 and have been sewing since I was nine. but quilting came to me in 2014. I have so many projects picked out!

Many of us come later to quilting as it is a very time consuming hobby. I made my first quilt top in 1965, right before my second child was born. It was another 45 years before I had the time to resume. I still have that first top, made with polyester fabrics and bonded lace.

Here is a picture of the afghan that I crocheted for my oldest daughter and her hubby for Christmas. I finished it before Thanksgiving but just remembered to take a picture today before I wrapped it. :)

I did not finish my kids presents in time for Christmas. Life just became too crazy. I feel bad, but I know they will love getting them once I complete them!

Krista there is only so much time in a day. My mom used to give us kits, we called it. Like material and a pattern and she would sew them up later.

That sounds like a great idea, Michele! Krista, I am sure that the kids will love your gifts! There are not enough hours in a day to accommodate Moms!

I am back to working on my Harry Potter blanket. Only have one more square and the top and bottom boarders. I am currently working on my bottom boarder. It will be 125 rows across. It's going to take me awhile to complete it.

Great job on hanging in there Krista, and getting your afghan one step closer. It will be a happy day when you work that last row.

Way to keep at it, Krista!

I'm currently working on cleaning up and organizing from Christmas creations.

Krista, just think of it as a way to extend the fun and surprise of Christmas into a part of the year that is usually cold and bleak. Your kids will love it when they get their presents!

I spent Friday creating Valentines for my daughter to give her kiddos. She also asked for 10 “adult” cards for her co-workers.
