Bev,
Yep, that's a good one too....I need a full time crew of fairies to keep up with this house..LOL I've just got more exciting things to do than clean house all the time..Boy, have I changed...in my twenties and thirties I was a fanatic about cleaning and everything being in it's proper place...Now as long as my fabric, projects and inspiration are out and around me that's all that matters..I finally decided to start "Living Life Like I Mean It!!".

Hey Jess,
Here's a Vintage Tabatha doll from the Bewitched era..Since I've seen you now I thought it was fitting

If you like it then "right click" and "save as" and save it to a folder and then upload to Photobucket..
I keep my photobucket account logged in most of the time so I can copy then paste into my messages and then just type your name beside or under in the message.
And if you aren't copying and pasting on the computer during the day then once you copy it..it will stay on your computer clipboard and all you have to do is right click and "paste"
Hope that made sense..Anyway let me know if you have something else in mind..

Oh I was wondering has anyone tried using their computer to enlarge the apron patterns in MJ's books? My husband and I did it and it came out quite well. Of course it came out like a puzzle but we just pieced the pages together and then I used some stuff I got from the fabric store, can't think of what it's called but it is about the thickness of interfacing and it is for making your own patterns. Anyway, I traced the pattern on to it. Seemed a lot quicker and easier then having to run somewhere to get it done. And it is free. ;) always a plus.

Jess I thought about using the pages for the pattern but I figured since I still had some of this stuff I'd use it. And then I would always be able to reuse it too. It is this stuff that doesn't wear out like the thin paper patterns, you know from the pins. Still can't think of what it is called though.

So what's this stuff you are using for the patterns? Look it up and let know if you don't mind I've got a bolt of interfacing that has a 2 inch grid on it but I don't think that's what you are talking about.
I haven't enlarged MJ patterns on the printer either...do you just set your printer at 300% and it prints out a bunch to tape together? Got to be a setting I need to use, right?
Thanks,
Stephanie

Ok.... since I have been out to the renfaire... have not been able to go fabric shopping... SO i just had to do some online.
This weekends faire was a bust. It poured again to day, so no one came. A bunch of the vendors were complaining about no business. Well it was dark and gloomey, 70% chance of rain and at $20 a head... would you go or wait until nexxt weekend? But the tent held, and at least it wasnt 100 degrees out.
This week I vowed to sew another dress.... I have brown linen I think I may use. I will have to check if I have enough blue to trim it.... or green.
Bev and Jess... so are you going to make a dress?

Stephanie, No, it's not interfacing and no grid. It has all these little pink dots all over it. I will try to find out what it's called and let you know. My hubby did the enlarging. he scanned the pattern into the computer and then changed the setting to 400%. It printed out on about 20 pages and we pieced it like a puzzle. Actually they printed out in order but I forgot to number them so that's why it was more like a puzzle. I'll ask my daughter if she remembers the name of this stuff. It's driving me nuts that I can't think what it is called...........ggggrrrrrrrr.

Elizabeth, if it was pouring rain outside and it cost $20.00 to get in, I wouldn't go either. When I do my shows in November and December, it is free to get in, but then it isn't a Ren faire. It has downright poured out, but the people still came. Not the crowds as usual, but the people were there to shop and since many of the vendors packed up and left, the people shopped at the booths left. I had a wonderful customer the year it rained. I don't remember what theme she was looking for, but whatever I had in that theme, the woman wanted it. I stayed, because I couldn't go anywhere, since my dh drops me off and I stay in our motor home all weekend, and dh drives back home. Dh drops me off Saturday morning and picks me up on Sunday evening.
