Hey girls
Hurricanes are good for sewing- I FINALLY got an apron DONE!
STEPHANIE- the hurricane just clipped us with winds and a little rain- maybe 2-3 inches. LOTS of limbs down- but we are in the woods-that's to be expected. Tks for asking
It was sunny and still hot this afternoon so I finished up some sewing!!
I love the look of this but it is totally impractical to put on easily!! Criss cross straps w/velcroOh well it a b'day present for a friend-she'll think of me when she's whirling around fussing about the silly straps!
Blessings girls!
Autumn

Hey Autumn,

Glad there wasn't much to it in your area. We are just now feeling the rains from it..supposed to rain all night, tomorrow and tomorrow night with up to 2 1/2 inches...man, that'll cause a flash flood around here with the excessive drought we're in right now! Our grass and trees will be sighing and making gleeful sounds for sure

Love your apron!! I haven't made one with all the straps that that cross...figured I'd wind up tangled in it...LOL

Hey Kathie,

I hate to hear you suffer from migraines. I have a DIL that suffers and has started taking Topamax in the past 2 months and it has stopped the migraines where the other meds had not.. My mom suffered terribly when I was a child up til I was a young adult but there were NO meds on the market yet for migranes so she had to be knocked out with heavy pain meds.

Anyway, I'm so glad you are back...look forward to a chat

I am up early this morning. There is a cricket somewhere in our bathroom, which is off of our bedroom. Non-stop loud noise. I just don't understand how a cricket can make so much noise, and never stop. The eyelids are droopy. I am out in our living room, and I can hear the cricket. Sigh......Whenever the hiding area is discovered, that cricket's life will be short lived.

Kathie -- How'd I miss that you've been suffering with migranes? Poor baby! Glad you're back.

E -- LOVE the cherries -- two great prints on one great apron!

Autumn -- Love that dotty apron, too! But what's with the velcro?? I've seen a pattern that calls for velcro at the back of the neck and wondered if I could substitute a button or maybe lengthened straps to tie in a bow?

Sharon -- CRICKET noise is the worse! We had one in the hall outside the bedroom, and it sounded amplified!! I don't know if the cat got 'em, but after a couple of nights all was quiet. Noisy little guy.

The straps criss cross from the bottom of the yoke piece and meet just at the waist where the tie is attatched-
it annoyed me so much I just decided to NOT make that pattern again. Too much work getting in and out.:) I dont know how it could be altered but it needs to be!
Tks girls for the compliments-
Blessings

Love the reversible Cheery Cherry apron! I've GOT to find some cherry fabric when I go to joanns today with my dozen coupons...dunno how I'll use em all...pick an item, check out, get something else , check out? "one coupon per customer" ARGH
They say that and send me 13 coupons plus I had a 50% off coupon that expires this weekend too! The torture!..sure sure, you have to spend money to save...BUT...Its stuff I'd get anyways...haha...so far I've only got two coupons planned...5yds of 45"Muslin, 40% regular priced muslin coupon and pack of two iron on transfer pencils, 40% notions coupon...
does ANYone know why they have "any one regular-priced "craft" item"? on half the coupons? I mean,....sewing is a craft(actually art)...right? it doesnt exclude fabric...just "previous purchases, purchase of gift cards, classes, custom services, digital picture frame, irons, cricut machines and cartridges, sewing machines, and sewing machine department, all Amercican Greeting products"....so..I dunno...

The secret to coupons is, bringing the entire family in and handing each a coupon and $$ to cover the purchase. LOL

Georgann, you've a package that should arrive any day now from me also. (couple things for the girls too )
