Mima, I won't laugh and knowing the other gals on board, they won't either. The first vintage apron I made was last year, now I am making them again, thanks to the ladies on here.

Mima, Mima, your our girl, you can do it!,,,(envision~katmom w/colorful pompoms, Cheering you on)
Have fun. The great thing about aprons, is there is no right or wrong style, and each apron takes on it's own personanlity. Mine range from fussy fancy to slap together (rectangle w/a grossgrain tie)but they are fun none the less. Remember, they are to be worn, used & abused, loved & cheerished.
Now go play w/UR fabric & (to quote EllynAnne) go "tie one on, an apron of course"! Hmmm, maybe wear an apron while you are sewing an apron will give ya that extra energy whilst
being creative!

Hey Kathie,

Yea, DIL is 30 years old and has always suffered from the migranes and this is the first med that has shown promise and she's lost almost 15 pounds to boot!! This is one of the side effects of the drug...It actually is a multifaceted drug and being used in many different areas. We really live in a great time with all the "curious scientist" being paid to discover more about what makes the body tick.

Yes.. they are still misserable.. & i throw the biggest fit over having to deal with them..
I just hate having to be out of commision over something so crippeling & stupid..
But what a Huge improvement being on Topomax has made for me..
Ya just have to wait it out really..

Here is the apron that I finished yesterday. The teapot fabric is one of my all time favorite fabrics.

The poka dot side needs something at the top, I think. Any suggestions?

Sharon -- That is such a pretty apron -- reversible is cool! -- what is the back of the neck like? Does it just slip over the head?

I decided to jump in and try to make my first apron. I fell in love with these two prints when I saw them and they matched so well. And of course, I HAD to use rickrack! My next attempt will be an apron with a bib...

ACK!!! I've fallen in love with Moda!!! went to our quilting shop today...the very shop I've avoided since I started sewing...I showed MAJOR restraint...it was torture....torture I tell you!! I got two awesome charm packs, one is called Pampered Pooches, the other other is Shangri-la.....I could have spent hundreds...no thousansds in the time I was there...two of each charm square kit, the adorable dick and jane wall hanging kit..the sooo cute Olivia the pig quilt kit...the one hanging in the shop was quilted with little pigs!! oh my gosh how cute! the fabric is organized by color, by type...aaaaaaah...beautiful....lovely lovely lovely....wonderful..and all around the shop they had shelves up high with antique and vintage sewing machines....little looked like childs hand crank...and the larger that had been removed from the treadle base....quilts hanging all around, racks with patterns some with cloths patterns, others with quilt patterns, the quilts hanging were all sooo beautiful, quilts in blues and yellows, quilts with bright blue and lime green, quilts for the seasons, with appliqued angels, they had sergers, quilting machines, sewing machines.....ooooooooh sooo wonderful...I could just spend all day...I would LOOOVE to work there if I ever worked for anyone besides myself....maybe once I'm driving eh?....sooo lovely...sooo wonderful...sooo fun...that almost made up for the aderanline rush induced by the idiot that almost hit us head on....aahhh...good day...minus the adrenaline rush of course...took me a good while to catch my breath after that.....whew...haha...

Hi to everyone else!

I am a comitted quilter- thinking of starting a thread in that direction- is there one that should be bumped or would a new one be best?
By the way Naomi- I am dangerous around a quilt shop!!!
I have to touch every piece and can think of hundreds of projects while in one. If I keep reading this forum I'll never get my projects done
