OMG....haven't had time to go through the thread yet, but wanted to give a huge thankyou to:

Bonne..................FAB patterns and goodies!!!! I can hardly wait to get started on the retro projects!!!! The little books are fabulous too!!!! LOVE them. I am wrapping some of them up tonight for Dani's birthday for tomorrow from you!! I know she will love them.

Lisa...................That fairy has been hard at work again!!!! I can hardly wait to get started on those precious shiny fairy goodies and the trim is gorgeous too!!! I have a project in mind already for that! Picked up a nice piece of Pendelton wool at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago and I think it will make great trim on a hat made of this wool!!! it is very pretty, what a surprise!!

Nay....................The little hand dyed canvas purse got here today and I know Dani will love it and the card is soooo precious!! Thank you!! I'm going to wrap it up with Bev's fairy necklace in it and that is going to be with her birthday presents tomorrow!!!

My husband was like a kid at Christmas today. He was working from home and I had to go in to the store. When I got home after work,he had all of my mail stacked on the table. He was so excited to see all of that love in the mail!!! He is so funny!! He said that is just soooooo cool. Then he said, sure wish I got fun mail like you do, so I think I'll be sending him some fun mail as a surprise when he least expects it!!

What a great day at the mailbox!!

Lisa, I saw you email that you got your goodie box. I have more going out tomorrow!!

Love and hugs, gotta go to bed soon. Kind of tired on my feet all day at the store. When I'm there, everyone runs away from the cash register except me.........I swear!!! I'd love to get away from the register too. BUT, I do really enjoy chatting with the customers when I get a chance and I've had so many nice comments made to me. One woman said to me today: "you are the nicest person here. I have been coming here for years and nobody has been as nice to me as you." I told her well, I'm just an old farmgirl in the "club." (Fabric club that is!)

They have all been ooing and ahing over my little work aprons, my thrifted Dansko clogs and my spider socks! LOL.......imagine me at 50 wearing a converted Mondo pants apron with a special made scissor holder, wild red and orange striped clogs and orange socks with black spiders and decked out in my gorgeous farmgirl made jewelry! LOL.............I love it. I've been uniformed all of my adult life and now I can just be crazy me! LOL.......................Oh, the McCalls patterns don't go on sale until the 20th and there aren't any kids aprons in the fall McCalls pattern book, BUT Simplicity goes on sale in about 4 or 5 days!!! So I'll get the kids aprons from the Simplicity lineup!!

I did find a FAB tea cozy pattern that I am going to get this week!!!

Tomorrow is Dani's b'day, so I'll be busy most of the day. I'll try to pop on and catch up during the day sometime!!

Hey Bev,

If you notice this post you'll know that the pattern finally got officially ordered today. The lady had emailed me saying it had been taken to the antique mall and was sold...much to my disappointment.

Then I get an email out of the blue from her and she says she is filing away paperwork this past weekend and she finds "the pattern" filed in a manila folder obviously by mistake sooooo....yippee woopee!!! we are getting that pattern after all.

Can you believe it? And for her to go out of her way to remember to contact me again I thought was so very nice since she didn't realize the value of the pattern.

So anywho...the pattern ought to be delivered to me by end of next week maybe..just in time for me since I'm finishing a job right now. Then it will be on it's way to you!

Didn't want you to think you were forgotten

i have that pattern for kid aprons...linda(a rose) sent it...it is great.

Bev... I got it! It is lovely! The Free Sewing MAchine Company of Rockford, Illinois. I have really been reading up on all these small sewing machine companies in the late 1800s and early 1900s and it is such a great history! They seem to all be intertwined somehow!

Man, I am missing my husband tonight. I washed all the sheets and all the dirty laundry, scrubbed all the floors and walls, and nothing smells like him. I will have to go rumaging about in his bathroom to see what I can find!

You girls have cheered me up tonight, I needed it, Yep yep don't be given that Jess any midnight sugar, we need that girl for Apronfest.
Aunt George, that pattern looks great for the kids.
I turned 50 the first of last November, what a bust. Didn't get to do anything and was major sick besides....maybe 51 will be better.
Now that was definitly whining!!!!!!!
Today waited all day for a return phone call from dr, meds not working since lowered dosage 4 days ago, back to same pain.....waiting for the okay to up it, the real bummer no phone call AND I DIDN'T GET TO PLAY ON THE FARM UNTIL AFTER 8PM. Now that really sucks!!!!!! Only have one phone line, ahhhh welll
I think I live in the stiching and crafting area. There is this thread and the minis of coarse and now the treadle and the quilt and stich. Goodness...

Jess, congrats on the 2000, you go girl.
I think I am finally caught up on my reading. I am ready for a nap or bed!!!!!!LOL

Stephanie, 700 is a lot of posts in such a short time, but that is what keeps everything so interesting. If no one like to gab, then it wouldn't be the same. Now look at Jess, who has over 2000 posts.

I went to a high school football game. Last year my youngest son graduated from high school, and he was in just about every music program the school had to offer. One of those was the marching band, so I went to all the games and helped out. I went last Friday, and had a blast. This time I could really enjoy the game instead of selling seat cushions. It is so nice to hang out with other adults. I don't get that chance during the week, unless you count my oldest son who is 21. Nope, not the same. I am going to the game again this Friday.

This is the only other place that I really get to converse with other adults, other than my husband and son.

Carol Sue,

Thought I would share some of my delicious cheeses to go with your w(h)ine!!!
I always keep them on hand for my personal w(h)ine occasions..LOL

Ok...all joking aside, I am soooo sorry you are living with so much pain and they can't seem to pinpoint the reasons. Maybe you will talk to the docs tomorrow. There truly is something about the late 40's and that magic 50 especially with women. I'm sure it's partially related to hormones one way or the other...Sooo...how are your hormone levels? Hey, just a thought...

I'm up late tonight so post if you are still awake later..
