Hey Sharon,

Yes, I like to talk and love to have others respond back with conversation...thanks for responding!

The beauty of this forum is that it's setup with so many different sections of interest and then within those sections are so many different topics. It truly makes it possible to be a part of a large virtual community of people with common interests

And yes...it's sooo good!! to go mingle with adults...I'm glad you had so much fun and going back on Friday for another game..No more selling cushions...(unless you want to, that is...)NOT! Good conversation is always a good thing! LOL

Hey Georgann,

It touched me how your husband responded to all of your "farmgirl mail". It will tickle his heart to receive "private farmgirl" mail from you!

Sooth the soul, heal the Spirit...

Hey Miss Stephanie,
Now I really wish that you could send some of that cheese, it looked good.
They still believe it is the big long hairy word, I j ust think that they need to up the dose. It made a difference until they had me go really low, they are trying to make sure I stay balanced with the Ibs. So it is a matter of waiting and being patient. Hormone levels are good, a question I had already asked.
I just hate taken the pain meds so often when I know the prednisone takes care of the pain level. I know patience, I call her my dr but she is my nurse prationer and has to check some things out with the doc and it can take a bit more time than I would like.
I think it was the 3 days of reprieve taking a little bit higher dose of prednisone and feeling better and then slashing the dose to 1/4 of what I was taking and the pain kicking me in the hinney for the last 4 days. This too shall pass.....
So are you sewing like crazy? I am just working on some embroidery for me. Smaller projects, not much thinking involved, more my speed right now.
You have sewin like a crazy woman.
Nay, you are still up, how ya gonna ever change those hours....lol...you are young, got lots of years ahead of you.

Enjoying life.

Hey Carol Sue,

Yep, I'm finishing a needlework project this week then will get back to sewing on aprons by end of next week hopefully..I know it kicked you in the butt when they reduced the Prednizone like that... Let me know what they do next...Wish I could stuff some of this cheese through the digital lines to ya!

Stephanie, I did offer to alter the band uniforms this year, but I think that they are trying to get other parents to volunteer. I was asked if I was there for the band or for the game. It was fun for my son, because they let him play his trombone in the stands.

Well I guess your son thought that was cool to play his trombone in the stands! Sounds like you were really involved...

Not sure I would have done well with the band uniform alterations unless it was hems...I did some waistband altering for security uniforms and OMG it seemed like it took forever...have to remove the waistband totally and than take in the seams, etc, etc...
That was when I knew the alteration world wasn't my cup of tea...LOL

Stephanie: Havent worked on much in the past week, started and finished a blouse..glad i did it with muslin..I decided I dont really like the sleeves, and the way I changed the pattern(bias on the outside instead of inside, black bias on white...ugh) made me look short(er) I'll change the sleeves, but keep the blouse, as it is really comfortable...I just wouldnt wear it out...haha..oh and dressed a little stuffed pig..I'll have to get a picture...I'm very proud of myself...considering I had no pattern, and the collar was so daggum tiny! Anyhow, I'll probably do some sewing if I get time tomorrow...

Carol Sue: I'm really sorry you are having the un-diagnosed pain...I hope it gets resolved soon...
And yes, the dance classes are very fun...so far I've learned the basics and some spins/turns of the foxtrot(w/ promenade), cha-cha(turn), East coast swing(turn), jitterbug(spin!), and the waltz(turn)....incredibly fun...and spins are awesome now in my new shoes(suede bottoms..on a smooth floor...WOW!)...I'm just going to have to take alot of classes to make up for the cost of them....hahaha....

cheers,

~Naomi~

I used to be a night owl, but lately, midnight is my limit of coherent thought that translates through my fingers. No matter what time I go to bed, I get up early, so I really try to konk out by midnight. I did't get to the present wrapping last night so must complete that mission this morning.

Carol Sue, The prednisone can be a two edged sword, so it is good that they are being cautious. Unfortunately your pain doesn't care if they're being cautious. I hope that they can find a good maintainence dose for you.

Nay, I bet you look fab out there spinning and dancing and I'm sure never lack for partners!! Are you wearing your Fab 50's reproduction dresses out there?

Stephanie...........mmmm chheeeesssseeee..............

Gotta go and wrap presents!!

Bev, that says, "BBQ" to me!! Awesome fabrics!

Jess, you're in the reprieve mode after the 18 (or was it 19) apron
marathon, plus minis, quilt squares, clothespins...geez, and who
knows what else you've been putzing around on. Oh, and buying another machine~
that's somewhat draining.
"let's see here, checkbook says, 'no', heart says, 'yes',
brain, brain, 'hello, anyone home?'~ SOLD!"

Holy Cow! We're almost all hovering around that 50 mark!
That's just uncanny!

I turned 50 this past March.....wow that is amazing.....so many of us.
Well, I just finished the RenFaire skirt. It will have a long, thin linen apron on the front....this is the back of the skirt....waistband laces up. The fabric is very textured...woven (looks smooth, but is not)

Stephanie, it was easy hemming. I usually had to rip out the old seam and re-hem-so it was no biggy. My son had fun playing with his friends.

Bev., now that apron would do well at my shows in late November, early December. It is horse country, and anything country sells well. Is that some of the fabric you bought in NY. I have similar fabric, so now it gives me an idea for some new aprons.
