I don't like ducks, chickens or roosters, but now that IS CUTE!!!
I DO love orange, and it's such a goofy duck/goose , not a country crock duck~
lots of personality.

Jess...I thin you are right...because remember yesterdat Aunt george said it was Dani's birthday today.....:P

Aunt George....I probably do look good on the floor...I rarely have a chance to look in the mirrors So I wouldnt really know...haha..but when I have looked...WOWEE!!...hahaha...but usually I lose my step, or something so I've learned to just pay attention to what I'm doing...
I havent worn the 50s dress yet...I'm probably going to next week, this week it'll be my lovely linen skirt that spins beautifully...hehehe

Hey there to all you 50-ish ladies!!

Since I started inquiring lastnight about ages on everyone around here I decided to have a Blogging Birthday Party next July during my birthday to celebrate everyone who will be turning 50 during 2008 and to celebrate the 50-ish time of life .

I know for sure I will not be at Apronstock. I'm hoping to be in full swing with all of my packing and future moving plans.

I know alot of other ladies will not be there either so in addition to the the Apronstock ladies (since it will be over by July 2) I thought it would be fun to celebrate at my blog with a cake and candles and gifts and goodies. We can even make ourselves some crazy celebration hats!

So I don't have to go back through the topic...will you send me a message when your 50th birthday will be in 2008...

And if you are already 50 please email me also since this about celebrating that 50-ish state of mind
!

Hoping to hear from all of you!!

Stephanie

He girlfriends, owwww the pain...whaaa...waaaa... got the root canal...meds wearing off now...he said it shouldn't hurt now but it does. I'm going to take the tylenol 3s and wait it out.
Danny boy is my handful and also my joy....he's 7 years old. Wish me luck.

Steph: I've got the new swap apron in the envelope with your address on it. :-)
Like I said before it doesn't have embellishments but it is several different fabrics and reversable....I think my swap sister can decide on embellishments...
I'll be online keeping up with ya'll all evening. :-)

Linda, I feel for you. Several years back, my tooth hurt something fierce. I thought that childbirth was painful, but never had something horrible before in all my life. Nothing worked to ease the pain. Turned out that I needed a root canal. It was just before Thanksgiving, and somehow the appointment for the root canal was on the Monday before(I had a craft show Thanksgiving weekend). Couldn't sleep, couldn't get rid of the throbbing pain. The appointment was for after 4 in the afternoon, and Monday was a long day. I was told that I would feel some pain after the root canal, so they gave me pain medicine. I didn't need the pain medicine, because it was instant relief.

Love the blue apron, Sharon -- love the reversibility of it! I am 15 years old -- plus 40 years -- that makes me double nickles, 55! You all are such youngsters. I'm with you, Linda -- I feel 15 most of the time -- sometimes I'm more grown-up and feel 17. My 90-year-old MIL said to me on Saturday that she feels like a young woman inside -- doesn't feel 90 at all. I told her, Isn't that just great! Here's to not being your age.

Ok, so there IS hope. A 55 yr old and a 57 yr old feel like teenagers. That must be the "postmenopausal rebirth"!! YEA!!

Sharon~ditto ditto ditto on your tooth pain musings.

Yes, Bev, relax~you've done your "apron duty" for today.

I've been polishing and oiling my treadles. They look nice~I look ..well..smudgey.
Canned 31 asst. sized jars of grape jelly. Think that's it for 2007 canning.
Boxed up soap for my sweet aunt who wants it for an auction fundraiser.
Made Pumpkin Pie Spice beeswax tarts for my neighbor, per her request.
Ok, now I'm up to date on chores and can cut out some APRONS!!!

Root canals are no fun at all...didn't think I'd be this sore after but he did say there was alot of infection. I just try to be thankful to have my teeth...so many people lose them all younger than me.
Still resting this evening. Also watching to see what you gals are up to.
:-)
