That is the difference. No wonder why my mouth didn't hurt afterwards. I didn't have an infection, but it sure hurt like------beforehand.

Katie-ell thanks for the compliments. I think that the hard part is trying to figure what fabrics to use.

I've had three root canals. One of them was when I was 7 months pregnant with my oldest daughter....then I went into premature labor two days later!

I will be 50 mid February 2008! Hmmmm Let's see:

50 and flirty
50 and fabulous
50 and flabulous
50 and fungus free! LOL

Anymore all of you half centurians?

Dani loved her pink marbleized purse and she loves the fairy necklace and the wonderful Tea and Pastries book sent by Bonne along with the very lovely Mother and Daughter book.

She is sitting on the sofa right now reading out the recipes from the tea book, and getting her to read is quite an accomplishment!!

Off to shower. I have an order from the shop for capes! This is a paying job!!

Later ya'll,
G

Georgann,
I got the pattern, thanks so much. Really appreciate it!

Bev,
That duck apron is the cutest thing. Love to find a child's apron pattern in a size 2. Do they make such a size in aprons?

Stephanie,
Did you ever receive the package from Crshelpmeet? I thought she said you emailed her about it but she didn't know if you had sent your stuff to her. She was away for the weekend and hadn't picked up her mail. She also hasn't been online for a little while.

I rummaged through my odds and ends and found these 2 coordinating green & purple batiks~not much left of them to do a major project, but just enuff to do a panel APRON!!
This paneling sure makes use of all those smaller pieces that I just couldn't bear to donate.

Yeah, rub it in you spring chicks!! Sure wish I would have been as savvy as the two of you are at your ages. Could have spared myself alot of grief over the years.

Bonne, I love your batik panel apron!! I adore batik fabric though, but you really made good use of those fabrics.

I'll post the capes when I make them. I have fabric in my stash to do black and silver right now, and will be adding velvets to the line of capes.

Here is one that I did for a former farmgirl and good friend: Some of you have already seen this one, so please ignore:

Bev.

Went to Hobby Lobby. For the past several weeks the majority of the fabrics are in the center aisle in bins for clearance at $2 to $5 yard. Nothing really exciting either. What's left at regular price is crap! Makes me wonder if they are closing the fabric section. I've never seen such a sad fabric department in a Hobby Lobby before this one.

I found a very nice magnifying lens that will clamp onto a table or a scrool frame to help with closeup handstitching. I really need that these days with the way my eyes are changing this year. And I got some more of the DMC Linen embroidery floss and a new embroidery stitch book and that's about it. It's really a sad story when I walk out without fabric in tow! LOL

Hope you had an enjoyable day and evening with your hubby!! It's so nice when they truly are your best friend! And I can tell that he is your Love!!

Y'all have a great evening and I'll talk to you later.

Linda,
I'll be watching for your apron! You should feel better by tomorrow evening I would think. Are you taking any antibiotics?

Katie-ell,
I love the 15 + 40...Yes, there obviously must be a postmenopausal re-birth!! Although I do feel young just sometimes too young..like I can't remember things, or what I was gonna say, where I put that..stuff that little kids do..
Soo would appreciate an adjustment in that area...LOL

Bonne,
Love the Batik Apron...I LOVE batik fabric especially the Rayon Batik collection by Princess Mirah. Beautiful stuff...She also makes them in cottons too.

Explain what "pumpkin spice beeswax tarts" are please...do you eat them? frangrance with them, light them?..LOL

I'm terrible, horrible, a disgrace to the sewing and crafting community....I...I...I can't stand it....I...I didnt craft/sew or anything tonight...didnt even work on my rug while watching TV....I shall go forth in shame...for even daring to go a day without making something....hmmm...was that too..."drama queen"?...me thinks it was....
ok..the only thing even relating o sewing that I did today..was I opened up and laid out all of my new charm squares...in order...then after loking at each one...stacked them all neatly back up....in order....just a tiny bit OCD?....naw...the stack looked so pretty...I was kinda hesitant to mess about with it....hahaha...now..lets see...excuses for not sewing...
1...I'm actually tired...
2...I helped mom try and figure out whats up with the dishwasher...cant figure it out...dad'll call the repairman tomorrow...
3...ummm...I wasted 2 hours watching a movie I've already seen...
4...I...I....wasnt...inspired...*gasp*....
5...I'm tired
6...I'm going to bed
cheers....

Jess....your Mom is going to LOVE the apron......really cute. Can I be your MOM? OMG I am old enough!!! #^$%#&^!!!

Bonne...Beautiful Batiks...I look at them every time I go to JoAnns...maybe one of these days I will actually buy.

Naomi....don't worry, your muse will return...you are not going to be a sewing slacker for long! Hey, wake up, the day's a wasting!!!
Stephanie... what a depressing trip to HobLob....we don't have any of them around us. Boy that lit magnifying glass would be great....I could use one of them to wear around my neck for everything....funny how our eyes just stop cooperating at this age. You are right, my hubby is the love of my life...he is everything I ever wanted in a mate!...everybody loves him.

Georgeann, saw that cape picture before, but loved to see it again....what a beautiful ensemble! Like a fairy princess! Could you be MY Mom? Oh yea...I have 11 months on you! @#$%$%^!!! You'll just have to be one of my soul sisters instead!!

Bev,
Thanks, do you think you figure something out in a full apron that size. It is for my granddaughter and I think a full one would be adorable on her. She likes to wear the half apron her mom made her.

Georgann,
That dress is beautiful. So flowing and delicate looking!

Glad to know what I'm going through is normal and everyone is having the same things happen. I have always worn glasses for distance but now I have been doing the bifocal thing for the past few years. When does the upside of menopause come? I am so forgetful I wonder if I ever knew anything. Everything is new to me all the time. My kids think it is funny but someday it will be happening to them too. Maybe that is the upside??? ;)

I think I would say the UP sides of menopause is we can't get pregnant and also the periods will stop! Sounds good to me. :-) Then eventually we should get grandkids...I'm 57 years old and still waiting for grandbabies.
