Ok, I had a brainstorm tonight. I started a farmgirl chapter...but of course since there is no one close to me I am a chapter of one. We should join together and start an interstate farmgirl chapter...we could come up with an apronesque title for our chapter, do a chapter journal (which I would be glad to make and start on its way around and each of us could write, embelish etc as we wish and then send on to the next person on the list. We could all make a chapter apron....matching....and have interstate projects to participate in. I got the new chapter newsletter which I can forward to you....and it has great ideas.

Are any of you interested in doing this with me????? Then each year we can plan a reunion which I would gladly hold on my farm or anywhere else if you all have any ideas......this could be a lot of fun.....what do you think? Please let me know if you are interested!

You girls have been gracious to me, there weren't 9 pages to check up on.
My dh laughed hard when I told him how late I stayed up reading. He told me I was addicted to the apron thread. Phhhshhhawwww, not me!!!!!

Stephanie-nurse practioner called back, upped the meds by 10 mg yesterday. Did good yesterday, today what a bummer, but I am hangin in there.

Bev,
That my dear is a great idea, interstate. I am starting a chapter here, Spokand and out lying areas, and really looking forard to it. Can we be in 2 chapters? Hope so cause I want to get to know your girls better.

Spent day with niece who having physically challgenges, has pelvic inflamtory disease and in a lot of pain. Went with her to doc and loved on her. She and dd are only 1 year apart and both are very special to me.

Came home, stuck my feet up, tea, vanilla candles and laptop on couch. Forgot the pain killers and went way way way too long stressing out this crazy body of mine. Live and learn as we say girls.

Bev, great outfit girlfriend.
Nay, were you whining,,,,, not our Nay!!!!!
Okay, I will not stay up till late late am reading......lol

Enjoying life.

Bev, count me in. There is just the girls and myself in my chapter. About the chapter apron, we could always do something simple like choose a base color of cotton and then have a pocket out of a certain fabric and all of the aprons would match. I saw a beautiful apron in the antique store yesterday that would be simple and could be obtained anywhere. It was a half apron with the front in a point. It was muslin with aqua colored bias taped edges. It had iron on designs of cherries on the pocket and front. What I liked was the muslin and aqua colored bias tape. We could all make matching pockets from a fabric on muslin then finished with a coordinating bias tape.

I'm rambling....but count me in!!

Bev,
Beautiful Renfaire outfit. I just missed the one in our area...wahhhh.
Guess I'l have to wait till the next one.

I'd love to join in the interstate thing. I don't know but I think there might be another jersey girl on the farm. None in my area though. Matching aprons would be cool.

Oh BTW I'd love to be included in the apronfest. PA is just a hop, skip and a jump from here. Have to check out a map to see exactly how far it would be.

It has been a rough night. My youngest son has had his driver's license for about 2 months now. His ex-girlfriend has been calling him and wanted my son, her, and other friends to go out. Well, I was originally told that it would be after work, so no problem. He said that he thought that he would be back around midnight, but it was after midnight and no won. We told him that he had to come home since he had school in the morning. Well, it was now 2:15 and no word or sign of our son, and no response on his cell phone. It was now 3:30 and I am worried sick. We finally get a call around 4:15 am and he said that they got lost, but he is on his way home. On one hand it was a huge sign of relief that he was fine, but on the other hand, he didn't get home home until 5 am because he had to take everyone home. Sorry to drag on. I only had a few hours of sleep last night.

It isn't the only thing that has been lost. He has lost his rights to the keys for a little while, so he has to rely on the public transportation to get to school, but I will have to get him after school, so that he won't be late for work.

LOL! you go MOM! ahhh...teenagers....
Glad he's safe though.....

I just got off the phone to my aunt Bettie. I'd just sent her a box of my soaps, plus a copy of my blog~she's recently moved into a condo after living in a house for a bazillion years and had to get rid of so much stuff. Of course my blog is about sewing mostly and now she's itching to try and locate her sewing supplies and stitch up aprons!!! LOL She's creatively inspired me in past years so I just returned the favor.

Ok I am going through a serious purge a thon.... because it seems much more interesteng than making soap right now.... which I have to do.

I just came across about 5 Lilly Pulitzer skirts, Oh I am just wild about Lilly prints, and I knew I had these but I just found them. Who knows what they will be in their second life.... I can not fit my fat ass into any of these tiny looking skirts. One is a full length hot pink daisy print.... Lots of fabric! OK I know that I am probably the only person who loves Lilly on this board... but I love those neon golf skirts. Maybe they will become a few purses.

Also I found a few yards of old Old OLD Laura Ashley fabric... a few yards!

And found a few sweaters for that Penny felting Bev was telling me about.

I still need to make soap..in the tune of 300 lbs - 500 lbs. Help me find the soapmaking elves!!!

My dh was wondering if we were being too overbearing or overprotective, and you probably knew my answer. The other parents were asleep. My son's ex-girlfriend's parents let her do just about anything-and same as the other parents. During his senior year of high school, my son's ex wanted the friends to see a movie and of course she wanted to be at the 1st showing after midnight. We said no, but my son with encouragement from ex and friends tried to woo me into changing my mind. Later, my son said that he didn't really want go. Uh-ha-sure! This son is smart, but does make some wrong decisions.

well...as we all know, women can put spells on men..no matter their age..not making excuses for men or your son, but women can get men to do anything...and we all are guilty of this and know it happens, even though we donot want to admit it publicly!

E! Love the LILY colors and prints! Fabulous finds~get the soap business out of the way and then you can have some fun with your finds. It will be a reward~besides you need to sell soap so that you can go to Joann's fabric clearance with a pocketful of cash!

I know what you mean Jess. It is tough being a parent. I was surprised that I didn't get back talk after telling him his consequences. He knew that we were worried. My son said that they drove out to Hollywood, which is no short drive either.
