Apron Inspiration????
I have been looking for a pattern for Bev and I came across this one from the late 40's...thought it would be kind of fun for y'all to see how one design will inspire a new one!
Ok, Which Apron has been sewn several times in the past few weeks that I said looked like a Mary Mulari pattern? Reckon she is using her vintage patterns as a Muse also? I think so...
Exactly why I love my vintage patterns...they inspire me and I know they inspire you as well. When you look at this pattern you can plainly see all you have to do is add the "tails" to this topper and you have a "front wrap Apron"

E, I think you are right on. Must have been someone jealous of Bev's beautiful bounty of aprons and her successful sales on Etsy. Frankly I just can't imagine that Etsy has a pattern police. I wondered that too.
I LOVE your renfare photos. The knights were great and the little shop sign holder is so cute!! The weather looked perfect in your photos!! Your son looks so very happy. You are giving him such wonderful experiences......I just don't know how you manage all that you do...I'd love to be a fly on your wall and learn how to do everything that you do, do!!!
Sold 8 yards of black china twill to someone yesterday. He was making a cape for Renfare. It will make a great cape.
Stephanie..........Like we have discussed.......nothing new under the sun. I betcha pattern designers take their ispiration from vintage patterns too!! Cute pattern btw, and thanks for invisioning my skirt with me!! I also did some research on the internet last night about the pattern issue and as E suggested....I feel it had to have been a jealous competitor. So I really wonder if Bev needs to contact Etsy and see if they are patrolling all of the etsy seamstress sellers or just hers. She would probably never know the truth though!!
Bev, how's the weekend going? Did the ladies enjoy the horseback riding?
Nay...........I bet your mother loves her new quilt that her daughter poured lots of love into!!!

I made a treasury on etsy a month or so ago that featured aprons and one of the ladies I featured messaged me asking me to take hers off because someone had told her that she couldn't have it up on etsy...either because it was the same or similar to what this other person was selling or because it was a store bought pattern like with Bev's. So obviously there are all sorts of people on that site that troll around looking for others who might take their market and that's too bad it has to be like that.

Look into it, you will love it! and i think it will serve you well if this is truly your passion...jess |

yes Nay! Really like the apron...I prefer the long ones...the few I have made are too short....I've gotta start lengthing them and also add onto the ones I made...oh well, gives me some thinking to do...and making embelishments!

Carol:I havent started sewing yet...I have ugh...laundry to do first....
I did get up early today...and stayed up for about an hour...but just decided to go back to bed...something got our female duck...found her in the back of the yard, feathers all round...and ugh...half eaten...we think racoon...realy the only thing big enough besides dogs to do that....and it wasnt a dog because our yard is fenced in....so sad....poor Daffy didnt even attack me as usual...no need to now...doesnt have to protect his girl, or the eggs...:(

It is on sale right now for I think 30% off of the $9.99 price (or it might have been $6.99 before sale price.) They have a beautiful dress line in different patterns in these colors. Large dots, different bold patterns, but this one is my favorite!! I won't be able to work on my skirt for a couple of weeks, but soon I hope!!
Lisa, I'll save my scraps from this and send them to you!! G

I looked at haiks-inc's website and logged in. Those cute kitchen fabrics from Michael Miller run $4.60 per yard. I have found that these prices include shipping, because when I get the invoice, there is no separate shipping charge.
