Ok, the greeen is your standard large tote...and the red is my attempt after looking at pictures and Stephanie's lovely purse to do a purse for a gift. It is lined in the striped material. Ok, please tell me....is it hideous....and don't think I am looking for approval.....really I am not. I am not sure stuffing the handles was a good idea (ok, now I am laughing at it) but it seemed to me that they needed some "oomph"... perhaps now they are too OOMPHY!! I drew it up and tried it....so it is a work in progress...no pattern used, so I can tweek or pitch and start over.

well Bev I think they are grand...not really my style, but I think that they work. If you didd it again, maybe use batting instead of stuffing, ...my aunt would so totally use both of them! And she is a cool aunt not a dreaded one!

I thought that I would post one of my new cobbler aprons for little girls. I made a cobbler apron for mom or grandma as well.

Bev,
You did have a good time! Fantastic choices. Love dick and jane and is that red and green peppers on the yellow fabric in the corner? AWESOME!!

E,
teapots are cute. You gals have great taste when it comes to picking fabric.

Ditto on the fabrics! The bags! The aprons!

Well, I haven't done any sewing today, but did get a couple of small pieces of fabric at the Jr League thrift:

Will incorporate into my purses/totes. 10 cents each. Love them!

And now maybe I can get some sewing done on the purse I've cut out. . . . will report back.

I had to make me an apron that could also double as a dance hip scarf. Now i can go from cook to bellydancer :) I needed to use up bunch of that betina fringe too . So it worked out.

Oh Funny, jello? I couldn't really see the pattern to well I could only see the edge. That is different, so are they like the jello molds?
Man, someone is really creative to think up jello. What are you thinking of making with it? just curious. I love the retro fabrics but I can never think of anything to make out of them except.......Aprons! I do not run in the lines of creativity myself. :(
