My name is Mary. I have been married to my dear hubby for 14 years. We have 4 children and 2 in heaven. My favorite hobby is knitting. I am also an amature sew-r. My favorite thing to knit is infant gowns.

As you have probably met my mom (Holiday Angels, Sugar) on here she is a wonderful lady. We are the bestest of friends.
I taught her how to knit.

Anyway I founded the charity Heavenly Angels in Need after the loss of our daughter Mariah Belle and also my 2 premature sons. I knew the need personally and Jesus put it on my heart. As any of you beleivers know God always uses are situations and turns it around for His Glory! And that He is doing. As you probably know we have a website heavenlyangelsinneed.com and we also have a bereavement site heavenlyangelsinneed.org
We have 2 forums 1 for crafts and 1 for bereavement. We started in April 07, 2003 became official (gov standards) in April 2006.

Anyway I am most excited to get to know you all and am so honored and excited to be here! My mom loves it and tells me all about it, I had to join

Blessings, Mary

I knew you couldn't live without your mother. tee hee. We live right next to each other. I have a few more daughters that may jump on board so everyone be prepared.
I knit all the time now and my fingers look like I have warts from the callouses!
Welcome to the wonderful people I am now meeting!

Welcome ladies! You will love it here! I can't wait to start meeting people! Putting faces with names.

If you really want to scare yourself and see us I believe there is a picture of us posted on our site, but if not we sure would enjoy exchanging pictures. I love your name "cabin Moose" and "Lorna". Guess I should let my daughter jump on here, can you tell I am the domineering mother?LOL

I just realized she said we should start a post topic! You know how we settled it was we started a guestbook through Slide.com and posted the embed html code on a post, that way our members can post a picture and what state they live in. Doesn't take up space that way and we can all see what one another look like :) Not sure if embed codes are allowed here though says html's off :(

Bless you And thank you all who have welcomed me here! Bless you!

There WAS a post..quite some time ago where we all were posting pics..but there are alot of new gals since then..so it wouldn't probably hurt to start up another if we can't find it..I will look...and bump the topic up here in a few minutes if I find it.
Welcome Mary!! How fun to have both you and your mom here!! I love to knit too, but mostly socks. I bet you will love it here..everyone is just great...and what a great example we have in MaryJane herself~!!

Hi ladies! We are thrilled that you are here! I live in Nevada now, but I grew up in Monmouth. Do you know where that is? Right down the road from you. See, we were neighbors at one time! Cindy

Hi, Cindy, I was born in Brownsville, Oregon at home on Courtney Creek Road, and delivered by my father. I bet you know where that is. They even filmed the movie, Stand By Me, there.
My sister used to go to college in Monmouth and worked at the Wagon Wheel Café while she was there in the late 60's.
My father spent most of his life on crutches after a logging accident and he and mom raised us to know what hard work and farm life was and I sure am happy about that. I now live in the city area and hate it and hope to get into the country again. I am a widow and so fend for myself and it gets difficult being so independent..

Hello Girls!

I am new at this sort of interaction and may need help. I am a new Farmgirl member in upstate NY. I mostly raise children and chickens at this point: 3 sons, 2 daughters, 17 hens, and 2 roosters (not in the same coop!). I love gardening, stitching of all kinds, reading, and writing.

I look forward to talking with you all and sharing patterns, ideas, hopes, dreams, and all things FarmGirl!!

Carrie

I guess my mind has a hard time wrapping around the idea of farm life in New York, although I know it exists, you just don't hear much about it. I have 4 daughters, two step daughters, and one step son along with around about 20 some grand kids. I love to read, knit, woodwork & burning, oil paint, paint with acrylics and make memory boxes for families that lost little ones.
Hope to get to know you too!

Welcome to both Carrie & Mary! You both just made a ton of new best friends!
Mary, thank-you for your testimony. As a fellow Christian it is so encouraging to hear someone sharing their faith.
Carrie, I am a western NY gal (via the UK!) What town are you in? Maybe we can have tea!!!
Hugs to you both.
Angie.
