Haven't done much sewing.....contemplating.....yep, that is my excuse.

Now that we are all starting to "Thaw Out" we are not by our computers as much.
I went into town to meet up with a fellow "Sisters on the Fly" gal...we had lunch, gab fest, antiquing & then over to the Goodwill store.
You know, I found this lovely tangerine colored crocheted afgahn, it was probablly a not much apprecriated gift & ended up in the G.W. thrift store...$1.99 was the price, so I snagged it brought it home & laundered it on the gentle cycle, tossed it in the dryer & now it is already to be used & loved. It will go in my little trailer along with a cute tin canister that I found for 99cents, oh and 2 really cool non-breakable martini glasses for 49cents each.
At the Antique shop & found & bought yet another vintage 1940's hat, a gal can never have enough vintage hats!
But the best part about today,,,,it was a wonderful warm 44degrees! wahoo, break out the flip flops & sunglasses! hahaha!

sniff, sniff....kleenex boxes everywhere, lots of hot tea and soup...need a quick recovery here..LOL I'm so bad about not stopping to heal so this time I've put on the brakes and being still.

Glad to hear Jess's dad made it through..wishing him a good recovery however long it may take. A hard life day is always better than a no life day.

Wishing y'all a great week!

Gals, I had a weird phone call yesterday. Actually creepy in my books. Well, this part isn't creepy. The woman calls me up to tell me that she really likes the look of my vintage pink floral apron. She goes on to say how she likes the pink ruffle, etc. Well, she said that she wasn't looking at aprons for herself but for her cross-dresser husband, who needs an apron to protect his dresses. She said that she doesn't mind that her dh is a cross-dresser, and how he would really like something like this apron. All I could say is that I am glad that she liked the apron.

Hi girls. I am home for a few days. Thanks for all your well wishes..steph you arte right...bad life day is better than no life day. He aparently raised his eyebrow and nodded this morning...so baby steps...one forward this morning. Any how. Probably wont see me much the next few days. I have got to have a full size quilt finished by Friday, so busy I will be, and my husband did a surprisingly okay job at keeping the house from looking like a total disaster.

Sharon..dont even bat an eye at the phone call...everyone is individual and good for her for being supportive. You make that apron and be proud because they are very detail oriented people. YOu passed the test!

Nay...great pooch!

Bonnie, I know that a sale is a sale. It is nice that she liked it and that she told me. I honestly didn't need to know about her husband though. At least she was honest.

Jessica, your dad is my thoughts and prayers. I had a chance to work on that baby quilt and it actually looks like the making of a quilt now. Good luck in getting that quilt done.

Sharon, LOL....She'll be sending all the cross-dressers to your site to buy aprons....guess you may need to make some with larger waist measurements.

Bonne, The reason for the "tell all" is because they are exhibitionist at heart...I've known a few cross-dressers in my day...many many of them in the French Quarter in New Orleans which was my hangout when I was a younger adult. Strange twist on nature but hey whatever rings their bell...they were all nice folks.

Men in aprons is a big thing these days.. Not that I surf to any of the groups but I see the groups listed at Flickr in an "apron" search.

These guys will usually spend more money on their garb then us ladies

Stephanie

Stephanie, I don't drink alcohol. Never could stand the stuff. Dh let me try a sip of his Sangria from the Mexican restaurant, and I gagged. My ex-co worker thought that I was a Mormon because I didn't drink alcohol, don't like tea or coffee.
