Jess, glad you got a day reprieve and if the weather cooperates maybe even more.....lol The picture of Emilia with the stuffies is precious indeed.

Bonne, if coarse there would be a sale on yarn and other fun things.

Steph you are getting might close to getting to go to your new home, hurrah
,
When we cleaned off the roof we knocked out part of our phone line, so will be fixing that later, the one i our bedroom works, thank goodness, cuase if I couldn't talk to my girlfriends, I would be in so much trouble.

Like needing to rant about men and their stupid ideas of fixing things, why in the world didn't he replace the whole piece of pipe instead of fixing leak after leak, come on, dah dh dahhh dahhh dahhhh. Yes, a lot miffed right now as I wait for him to finish this up. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH okay done, thanks for letting me rant. Men!!!!!!

Will try and get some snow pictures up later on my blog. I cannot beleive that we have had 46.2 inches in the last 2 weeks, it is the snowiest december ever here, we are setting major records and we have a week to go. WOW!!!!!!!!!

Bonne, I just had to go and click on the link to JoAnn's! They have corduroy on sale and some cool bake ware!!

Teresa, hope all is well with Caleb! At Easter, when Olivia was 1 she managed to stick a whole plastic egg in her mouth!

Showers do become a luxury with kids, don't they!!

Carol Sue, stay warm up there!

LFD ~ You are a brave woman to have glass ornaments on your tree. I haven't put mine on the tree in 2-3 years. Gingerbread men, bead/pipe cleaner shapes, yarn-embellished things and foam is all that's on our tree this year. And the next few years. A few years ago we called poison control about Chapstick since my oldest decided to eat half a tube since MIL let him play with it. Grrr. Do I have too many photos on the blog maybe? Try this for just the photos: http://photo.xanga.com/LannaM

Tonight we're going on a holiday light cruise across the lake to visit Santa and see the lights and such. The kids usually love it. Hopefully we get dinner down 'em quick enough. In not so great news, my dad died this afternoon. And we haven't been able to get ahold of my sister. I don't need condolences for me (seriously, long story), just good thoughts/prayers for my mom and sister. The last few months/years have been so much more draining on them than me, especially regarding him.

Jess, You and John are handling it well..Thomas and I watch and smile and laugh with you guys....Thomas has fond memories...and due to the large family he learned at a young age to iron clothes, wash, dry, fold, put away...vacuum, clean, cook....what a catch he is!!! LOL And he has such a nurturing personality..I guess you could say he's next to perfect. Thirty years of crap but boy did I hit the jackpot when he appeared...woohoo! He's my sweet man!!

Him nor any of his siblings were ever latch key kids...Mom was always present and involved....never left to toll away the hours before a parent came home from work.

Hey Lanna, I'll be thinking of you, your sister and mom in the days ahead while putting your father to rest. The holiday light cruise sounds nice.

Jess, the azaleas are deadly to most animals also...I've had a few goats (visitor fed them the leaves before I knew what they were doing)almost die..one doe was 2 weeks from kidding and it killed her two unborn kids and she just about died. too say the least I put up signs "DO nOT feed the Goats (anything)" People don't know or don't think about what may be poisonous. I would hope a child would spit it out quickly due to the taste.

Carol Sue, OH yes....things are coming together nicely...almost scary how well it's all falling into place...so I'll not elaborate for fear of a planet moving the wrong direction and screwing up something..woohoo!!

Tina, I thought that it was so funny. To think that a dog would react that way with all that snow. It looked like a mole was under the snow at times.

this is the one they got, but I have been making a bunch o stuff to make a faery village out of gourds...I got a HUGE box of HUGE gourds recently and a Dremel for Christmas, so come summer I should have it well underway...just waiting for a few things to come up and be dried in the spring.

Well, I must say the kids are great with th eglass ornaments, we usually lose 1 glass one per year. Last year it was my 1930s teapot...and guess who broke it...ME! This year 2 kids collided adn dropped the bulb, then the dog stepped on it...so not too worried about it this year, our one has already met its maker.

Chapstick...don't know if I would have called PC for that one..my kids seem to eat it all the time..should I be worried? I use Burts Bees or some from Botanical Bath(Elizabeth), I think it is a pretty safe mix.

How is you r cold coming along Monica?

I will have to take pics of the yarn Carmen has spun today..a fairly decent amount so far...she has watched Bonne's vid on her blog about 50 times...or maybe more. Now, I have unwrapped the first batch from the spindle and wound it onto the Niddy Noddy...I am ready to do the second batch, what do I do? did i read or see somewhere that I need to wet it down? Bonne, Monica, Steph..what do you know? We are trying to get enoough spun to make a scarf this week. I think I may get out the knitting needles and do that again..knit and purl arent so bad...just nothing else but straight rows.

Well, Steph I am so glad Thomas is happy about his childhood. So many places we go people come up and talk to the kids and I about how much they loved growing up in a big fam of 7, 8, 9, 12 kids or whatever. They all say it was so awesome. So I hope my kids feel that way as well when they are older. I must say have 8 under 11 is very busy at times, but I certainly would not change it for the world. Okay well, inlaws arrived at about 9 pm, stayed for 3 hours, left for the hotel and will be back after breakfast, so I may not see you girls muchtomorrow.
