I also made a recipe journal to match. Obviously we live in "crawfish country"- well... he lives in Kansas now- but Louisiana is home.

Autumn, Cool apron! I am going to try and get some finished up that I was making to sell! I found all of them after I cleaned up my sewing desk! It really is amazing what you find when you clean!
Good night ladies!!

like the apron...I haven't shown the one I made lately...I wear it more than any of them and used no pattern..it fits and I give you gals the credit for showing me how to design and create and inspire me to make more aprons...I don't have a Christmas one "yet". It's not too late for me to make one! LOL Love the jokes and lots of pics... Hi Lavendar girl... can't sleep...coffee and mind racing...oh well glad you are here for me.

See what happens when I go to Reno for the day...wow! I went to get a vintage doll from a Freecycle post. She's about 3 ft tall, cloth, with yellow yarn hair and a formed painted face, think you could buy the face and then make the doll. One leg needs sewn back on and one felt shoe is missing. It belonged to her MIL and the SIL's were going to throw her away. Very fixable. I hadn't realized, before getting to her house, I bought quilts from this lady last year just before Christmas. Asked if she had more and she did, so 5 vintage quilts/tied comforters and $75 later, I left. Oh, bought a nice pattern wool blanket with label from her too, white with blue flowers. $10-20 each, good prices. Someone who will do something wonderful with the wool blanket will have to give it a good home. She was going to donate it to the church for giving to the homeless cause no one on Craigs List would give her $10 for it. Saw one less than dime size moth damage, not all the way through. I think that will go away when it's felted, won't it?? Also hit two thrift shops to end the year properly :) 40% off plus another $5 off if you spent $25. Good to see all the photos ladies...I got lucky on that one, no one even missed me. I hate having my photo taken, always look terrible. Can I share one from high school days, that was only 46 years ago.

great buys for you today...our thrift stores are greedy. what a deal on the quilts, eh? Are you gonna sew her leg back on, or leave it for later in "the room." ok i am getting to be too much of a smart A$$ so I am off to bed.

The lady I bought the quilts from shops the same places I do, but she really doesn't know much about quilts. She knows I won't pay much and if she's happy, that's fine with me. She drops the prices for any tear, hole or little stain; I look at the pattern and fabric and figure the wear and tear means they were used and loved. Today is our anniversary. 13 years ago Larry and I got married again and 39 years ago I divorced him. We were waiting for divorces to be done and the date just happened to be the divorce anniversary too. Told him I want at least the 26 years we lost apart, so have 13 more to go. He says we'll renegotiate the contract then :) Jess, will email you the contact for Gloria/Berries for long arm quilting. Well, the doll is sitting on a dining room chair right now, so she just might have a place at the table for awhile. I deserve all the teasing and harrassing, so bring it on!
