Jess, yes Meg is pg, should be due shortly I think. I'll look forward to reading about Aria. Lucky you to get your mag already. Mine is usually a week or so later than most, for whatever reason.
When Larry calls, which he's not done yet today, I'll ask him for a quick synopsis of the Levi's/NRA/gun control thing. He's not shot any of his guns for a long time, but does maintain his NRA membership and his right to own them. Beautiful black powder rifle is displayed on oak in this computer room....probably has a dozen cobwebs too that I need to clean off. I shot it once and my shoulder was sore for weeks. |

yes, my dad has a big collection of black powder, many are very old antiques from his ancestors who were all in civil and revolutionary wars

| Jess, very good family heirlooms. This one is "new", not sure when he bought it. My inlaws were in the 101 Ranch Show in the late 20's, both part of horse entertainment acts. He on bareback, she with a trick pony. A Russian man was sweet on her and gave her one of his guns, which made Grandpa jealous and mad...and he tossed it out of the window of the train! I wish she'd related more of the stories of their adventures. We do have photos of their appearances, thankfully. |

Jess, get in the will for Daddy's guns. Sheryl-lyn is going to a gun show for the collector ones.
Every "farmgirl" needs a rifle. (at least one)
Yeah, Ronna, gotta love the denim that has a bit of spandex. It's the difference between being pinched or being comfy in your jeans. So much better than the "stretch denim" from the old days~that stuff was nasty ugly.

Hey, I scored today at Joann's (a different one). Got some cowboy printed fleece & Horse head embroidered fleece on clearance.
Anything cowboy I have to get~Red's g-pa was a rodeo cowboy, plus Red rode a lot before his hips went wacky.

i have decided that jess has all of the cleaning faires at her house and isnt sharing. she must be doing something to keep them around dang it wish i knew her secret.

Thanks for doing the investigating on Levi's, Steph. Larry just called and I asked him about it. He doesn't like anyone/any company that is against gun control. I recall Charlton Heston's NRA statement of when he'd give up his guns. Saw him 15 years ago at UCLA medical building and he still looked like he could part the Red Sea just by saying so!
When Tyler was younger, Larry would have me put up the guns just to be safe. Then he changed it to car keys after hearing one of his brothers grandkids took their vehicle joy riding and wrecked it.
Oh, it's 50 below with wind chill in Prudhoe Bay Alaska if anyone wants to feel warm and cozy wherever you are. No white out yet, but expected today. Better him than me, anytime. |

Prudhoe Bay! I was listening to the History Channel today and they were on that subject~the guy driving in was not looking forward to temps going to -70. That's not fit for man nor beast!
I'm baking cookies today~trying to warm up the house. The wood stove isn't drawing right~think it's the cap clogged but don't feel like messing with it today so resorting to regular furnace which doesn't heat as nicely. ;(
