Hi, gals! Sometimes I pop in to read what you have all been up to. Well, I've just spent twenty minutes reading, looking at all of your gorgeous pictures and trying to catch up on all the goings-on in the Apron (and more) thread. Gee whiz! Do you people sleep? Ever? Jess, Super Mom,you never cease to amaze me. A 4-mile trek? Really? Good night!
I'm going to try and pop in more often so that I don't have a thousand pages of adventures to read. Karin- listen to these gals and get your leg checked. Leg pain really is not be fooled with.
Have a lovely remainder of your Sunday, and stay warm!

Karin (the Georgia one.)

cute apron sheryl...i am never brave enough to use all those prints and patterns in one apron.

yep, my kids stay busy, i stay busy, they all stay in line, i am pretty no nonsense and very consisent, I have a 2 month old, a 2 1/2 yr old, 4 year old twins, a six yr old, 7 yr old, 9 yr old, and my oldest Lexi just turned 11. I have no tolerance for sillinesss, craziness, general weirdo outbursts, they have a good time and I have a good time. They all seem to know that if there is anything but a pleasant time happening that they will never get anything they want. just how it is, and I usually get high fives from the old ladies.

high five from this old lady too...oh crap, I don't want to be an old lady, can I still just be Auntie Ronna. If old is a state of mind, I won't ever be an old lady. at least not the kind no one wants to be around.

Hi to Miss Karin in Georgia, known for the fanciest chicken house in the USA, probably anywhere. Do the feathered girls still love all the care you put into building their home?

I know what you mean about the mixing of fabrics. My husband said it looks like a Mexican mariachi dress!

Oh, and Jess!! Great way to raise those kids. As a teacher, I see way too many kids who have been running the house, so to speak. They have no boundaries and their parents revolve life around the kids when it should be that the kids fit into their parents' lives, not the other way around. Good for you! Making rules and sticking to them. My kids were always the best behaved in the bunch too!

Thanks, Jess. Hey, if it makes me smile in the kitchen when I throw it on, that is all that matters anyway.

Ronna: Oh you will most definitely not be an old lady!

Yes, I figure they should be a good reflection on us, right. I am spending every waking moment on them, so better get it right, there is no do overs.

I've been to Spain!! I don't remember seeing mariachi chics, so I am the lone one? Can't be!

You know, it is true that the kids are such a reflection of us. It's funny, but when my first husband got sick and then was dying, I remember always thinking that I had better make sure I had the kids under control if times were going to be bad (and sad) and if I were going to be a single mom. Did not want more problems to deal with than I already had. Those kids were such a blessing to me when I was alone!!

Yay! Carol Sue. Sometimes crazy fabrics just have to be together. My husband is humming a Mexican song every time he sees me! Cracks me up really. He does think I look cute in it though :)

Hi Southern Karin!
Cute apron, SL!
I made a huge polar fleece blanket today~double-sided with my horse head/cowboy print fabrics I just got.
It's to cover both of us on the loveseat while we watch TV. I'm COMMITTED to using up my fabrics this year, even when I go
buy more. LOL One thing that has helped is the # of couples that we know that are having a baby. I make a blankie for them. I'm all out of girlie colors~so many girls have gotten one.

thanks ladies. I recall Larry introducing me (of sorts) to someone as his "old lady" and I was all of 16, maybe 17. Lots of miles on me, but I'm still running...or maybe just walking. And I've earned every gray hair on my head. Just lucky it was light to start and doesn't show as much. Strange, mother died her hair red for 50+ years and told me she didn't have gray hair, which was hard to believe. At the end, her hair was not being done every week and she was so right...brown roots, no gray. Yes, I did apologize for not believing her. Had to have the casket unsealed at the cemetery to get a lock of her hair for my sister and I apologized for lots while doing it. Sorry if that freaked anyone, but things happen for a reason and I raised lots of hell at the funeral home for her after. Don't ever trust that your/their final wishes are done unless you see for your self.

Are there Mariachi's in Spain or just Mexico?? maybe that's why you missed them Sheryl-lyn. I think Flamenco dancing in Spain. Oh, Mariachi refers to the band...what do I know.

xxoo to you too Sheryl-lyn, will look for you tomorrow night for sure, you got great fabrics girlfriend.

Can you beleive this, ya ready 8 more inches overnight and the kiddos won't have school anywhere in Spokane County, requested by the Sherriff's department becasue of the roads and no sidewalks to walk on. But then then then then, we get rain the rest of the week. Never thought I would be very happy to see rain. Yippeee rain....guess we best go sledding big time tomorrow, no more shoveling for a while, oh hurrah hurrah...... we just get flooding instead, thankfully we are not by stream or river....

Agree with you Sheryl-lyn. Love my job and the paychecks but sure do like staying home. One more day for me, extra day off with pay for working Black Friday.
