is he waiting for the economy to get better and the price to go back up? Hope you can convince him if it's possible. Just buy the whole 640 acre section, why not go for it :) Eliminate all the bad neighbors for a huge area around you.

won $5 once, when $5 was like $50. should have made a copy of the check, saved it for a long time. I think it's my turn again, I'd do so much for everyone I like. what fun

is there Powerball in your state or MegaMillions? they get huge, cause tickets are sold in several states. Larry used to play along with a bunch of guys at work, he'd buy $100 or more, depending on how many were in. We'd go over to CA to buy them, just 8 miles west of Reno. don't know if they all stopped or just him. I play once in awhile
convenience stores, liquor stores sell them.

I played the publisher's clearing house for so long..Now I play the lottery..got the Tennessee Powerball and then all the other ones that earn you still in the millions. I've got a stack of void tickets that I keep saying I'm going to decoupage something with..LOL Hey...I saw a paper bead necklace made from lottery tickets..it was neat looking. I'd rather be driving to Nashville to the headquarters to collect though. I have it all layed out how the CPA will handle setting up the trust funds and such for all the people I want to help.

used to have on my checks (after we remarried, he bought me the Vette, etc) "hold on to your dreams, they may come true". I still believe it.

Karin- Yeah I could move the boxes to another wall- it is above the roost ladder though. They do all huddle up there at night.
I LOVE the chicken quilt!!!! Did you design the pattern??? I want to copy it!

Yeah- I have my dreams too- Jess!

Ruth- the owl hats & you- adorable!!! SO glad to see you!

Busy with a baby quilt here- it needs a little pazazz- not sure what though.

Sheryl-lyn- it takes a good teacher to inspire those kids and you have done that!
My teenager and I are both sick of Algebra! I only have this year and next before I am finished home-schooling. We offered to send him to public school(there are NO private schools close by)for the last 2 yrs and he refused. I figured he'd jump at the chance.

So- I gotta hang in there for a bit longer!

Blessings,
Autumn

I can recall being called "a dreamer" and it wasn't in a positive sense, ya know? Don't have that around me any longer.... I am, always have been.....I believe dreaming is part of my creative being......I don't think there are any great dreams without the imagination to go with it. But I'm an idealist too so that throws me in a small group of the population.

I beleive it's a Picasso quote:
"Reality is for those that lack imagination"

I've always thought that was accurate.. for me anyhow...

Anyhow, the lottery is tangible and is food for dreamers that want to help others...it would be a fantastic day to think that I could stop alot of unnecessary suffering among people and the animal kingdom.

Just read Carol Sue's post about the water situation.....She wouldn't have anymore financial worries if I hit the lottery....it's upsetting to me considering how hard this is on her body and we all know when the body breaks down it challenges the spirit.....so Carol Sue, you can start dreaming of that home you've always wanted "just in case" I win big!!....LOL You're the greatest! you know that!? You take the knocks as they come and kick it in the a&& and keep going..and that's what I've always done.

yayyy for Carol Sue (and Dan). Larry and I would have killed each other by now going through all these water/pipe/snow/ice problems. Gotta laugh to keep from crying sometimes and they do so well in dealing with day to day stuff, let alone this ordeal. Okay, everyone playing lotto or whatever to win big for them too????

it's affecting lots of people. when I went into the thrift shop (big multi store/privately owned) the gal who is in charge of all linens was off cause they had nothing for her to sort/mark. Said some days same with clothing, just not enough donations. usually just before and after christmas they're overloaded with donations of all kinds.

oh boy, winning the lotto good luck gals and well eventually they will get the water fixed. thank goodness we are fine here or then we would all be in trouble. although i had a little scare earlier today, the toilet was clogged and i thought it froze up again and the good news is it wasnt or i dont know what we would have done.

the kids are still giggling in their room if its not to bad outside tommorrow i am gonna make them run out that energy and if it comes down to it. i will take them to mcdonalds playland buy myself a drink and let them play. yep that is a cheap way to get their energy out.

when I go to the senior center thrift shop, they always have lots of fabric and yarn. fabric is 50 cents a yard and sometimes good size cuts of great quality some lady has had stashed for awhile. I always have to look, it's the rules (mine). besides, have to ask if they've saved buttons for me and usually have a tin full. if they've put them in baby food jars, they're 50 cents, but I give them the jars back. Past year or so, they just save them for me. if it's something special, the manager will put in her office until I get there. she wasn't there the day the featherweight came in and right back out and was not happy at all that they sold it so fast.
