$1 is all it takes to win the lottery. We know someone that's won it twice!!!!! I met a girl while in Fort Worth, TX that won it playing her last dollar....yes, I know....read that same story on Yahoo not long ago..but it does happen.....Unbelievable but really true..then we know a small group (10) that won off the numbers they bought as a group..each one wound up with around $500,000 after taxes.

Guess that's the dreamer in me..I'm gonna spent that $1 for a chance at millions..LOL

Me too...taken lots of risk in life so far..that's a gamble in and of itself, right? Thankfully, I'm not compulsive with gambling...very cautious...First time I went to Las Vegas I was so happy to sit in the Golden Nugget on the old strip and play the penny slots..LOL What a thrill to walk out with a few more dollars then I went in with...I love to sit and watch people gamble..very entertaining! In Caesar's Palace I watched the high rollers as they won and lost and you could spot the compulsive gamblers that probably didn't have money for bus fare home if they lost. That's no fun..that's an addiction for sure. I like having fun.

Ok girls go for the lottos casue the darn water is being a poop, see that is what I get for writing, we are almost done....argggggggggghhhhhhhh.. We only had one more leak, one a tell ya, so dh turned on water to dribble so we could check, it looked good to go, so turned it up all the way............oh man o dixie, we do not have all the leaks fixed. Drat buckets.....tomorrow is another day.

Thanks for the encouragement, had me crying tonight, good cry though, cause you all care.....

Ok, what the heck did I miss about the fabric and Ronna, I do not remember anything, or did she finally do something on her blog, shoot, now I have to go look.....grin............
and you missed out on a Featherweight, I would be howling on that one....I love my little baby Featherweight and yes if I could own two I would. Those puppies are dandy to say the least......I gotta get my belt on mine replaced, one of these days.....I have to admit I love the sound it makes when it is sewing along. I like the sound of the old Pfaff that my mom gave me too. Someday I will see it again, aahhhhh, my long lost friend, I shall uncover you one of these days......dreaming yep, and soon will be desperate because those minis will have to be done!!!!!!!!

Carol Sue- Maybe the water fairy will come and stick her tiny fingers in all of the leaks for you. Good night above! How do you deal? Maybe today will bethe day and everything will be sorted soon. I have my great-grandmother's featherweight. It needs a tune up badly and a good cleaning. Right now it sits on the shelf in my craft room. I need to haul it down and get it taken care of.
Autumn- I just cut out some chickens and beaks and started sewing. It isn't that hard. You can copy if you'd like. I'm all about sharing!! I'm making a little fairy to send to a friend in England today. It won't be as big as my sister's but it will be cute. I love that paper clay!
I was reading about the lottery tickets. I've never bought one either. I have always thought they were a waste of money, unless you are the person who wins!! Of course, you can't win if you don't buy one. What a conundrum!!
Have a great day, everyone!

Karin

Carol, I am so sorry that you are still having problems with leaks. Most of our plumbing is under the foundation. A few years ago, we would be standing by the kitchen sink, and the floor would be hot. It turned out the we had a leak in that pipe under the foundation. Fortunately, though, dh was able to cut off the water source at the water heater and re route the pipe.

good morning girls, well I have been fight a cough and sore throat for a few days, now this morning I certainly believe I must have a horrible case of strep. So I will be figuring out treatment for that today..ugh. I dont likethe feeling of the sides of my throat touching each other. Oh well. We had some icing last night, kids were on 2 hr delay this morning. John took em, but now my big van won't start...too many cold days spent sitting, I should have fired that haus up every day or so. Okay so now I need to push it out of its space to jump it. Aysh! Anyhow, gotta go do that before John leaves to meet with a client.

Jess...not at all good if you do have strep, the whole house might end up with it. Know Emilia doesn't feel good either, is her tiny throat red too?
Not at all easy on you to be sick with young uns that need fed and all. Hope your van jumps and the battery hasn't decided to go south for the winter..or forever.
2 1/2 weeks home with pay and last night I felt like crap. When Larry called this morning, he gave me a bad time about it too. Cough, congested, chills alterating with sweats and stayed quite close to the bathroom. Luckily, only have 10 work hours this week and my manager said to add them to next week if I want and just stay home...she's such a neat lady.
Hope everyone else is staying well. Now it makes sense why I didn't have energy to do hardly anything the last few days. Blecchhhhh
Bonne, I'd just asked Jess if she got Connecting Threads catalog, cause I got two yesterday and she checked them out online. Nice fabrics and only $5.96 yd. Like Steph, I could open a shop with all I have here and in storage. More than I'll ever be able to use in this lifetime.
K, I'm headed back to bed for a bit, still things I have to do here before Larry gets home tomorrow night and don't want to wait until an hour before and panic.

I haven't been out of the house any farther than the mail box for a week. Larry asked if I'd been eating dog food....silly man, what does that have to do with being cruddy. and the dogs aren't sick :) Oh, cause my digestive system was working overtime. That seems to be okay today, thankfully.

ooooohhhh, so sorry to hear of the sickie poos! Just thought I would check on you guys....today is a slow one for me...just waiting for the predicted ice storm to hit us. Doing a little sewing, laundry, cleaning, cooking...etc. Avoiding the germs as much as possible! It is always good to know you gals are here...yacking on and on....geesh I can never catch up with the news. We should start an abbreviated version of this thread so it is easier to keep up....well, I will keep trying to catch up...feel like I'm running behind a car that is always going a bit faster than I can run....

Zenni Optical

When you go to order progressives, make sure the lense is deep enuff. The narrower lenses they can't make the bifocals out of. I need progressives if I want to watch TV and work on something with my hands at the same time. (I'm near-sighted)
Driving I only need single vision so can get just about any frame I want for those.

Hello, ladies!

Jess and Ronna~I hope you feel better soon. I was like that last week. I hope all the little ones don't get sick.

Jess~Sorry to hear about the van. It happened to hubby's car last week. When it warmed up some it started on its own.

Carol Sue~So sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with the water issues. It sounds so much like our other house. I hope it's all fixed and done with soon so you can keep your sanity.

My eye appointment is later than I thought..good thing they called to confirm or I would have sitting there for a while...

Thanks, Bonne....yep, learned about the width of the lenses this year when I got my first progressives...so I have measured my current lenses to use as a guideline when choosing....I wear progressives fulltime and then have a single vision just for the computer.

Hey Bev...there's no such thing as an abbreviated version for this topic..it would fly off just as fast so we may as well work towards the world record for pages on a forum topic...see you just gotta look a tiny bit each day..LOL you know in your spare time! I've gotta go look at your blog and catch up on the cabin construction. Hope you are having a good week.
