Bonne~You are so sweet. Thank you!! The hats sure are addictive!!
Karin~I hope you get all your sewing done today.
It's sunny here today and I have to get some errands done while my son goes on a playdate. I have to get to the yarn store and buy them out.

Karin, sorry your van is ailing again...I just hate it when car troubles become part of life..somethings ought to start up everytime, right? And yes, we can share, our old bat, cataract stories..LOL So anyway, makebe you'll get some sewing done today. I, too, would love you to upload pics to your blog....uploading from your harddrive direct to your blog is much simpler than photobucket then to the topic plus it doesn't get lost as Bonne was pointing out.

All of my bad talk about the sun must have worked. I see blue skys today. We are trying out a new gym this afternoon. The young lady that was helping at the one I've been in is accepting a much better job...one that will give her some sort of security for the future (if that's possible, anymore)....so really she was the only reason I was there..otherwise it didn't have a whole lot of pluses to it. The one we are going to today has an indoor heated pool, and walking/running track plus very large classroom and freeweight area.
-----
Thanks, Ruth....I have had some hot tea and went on a visual trip to the cabin..the snow is beautiful!

Bonne- try Simplicity 3780- It had the halter top- but is a sweetheart neckline oh, you could try Simplicity 4224- and add a Halter strap to it.
Thank you everyone for the compliments on my quilt...I had alot of fun making it!

I've gotta laugh at Bev and Steph and their "cabins". ROFL! They aren't cabins, cottages or even lodges! More like the Ponderosa. Didn't you always want a ranch like the Ponderosa? I did. And a bunch of brothers that always had your back. ;)

Oh wow, I love those dresses Bonne, especially the kari dress. Yes, you should have something in your retro, will have to check out the simplicity patterns that Nay said.
Steph, you funny girl, old bat stories.....yep you just scared that rotten weather right out of there.... Guess what, there is sunshine, real live sunshine today, and it feels great on the shoulders.
Ruth I can just see you in the yarn shop, skeins a flying every which way.....
No wonder I was been majorly sprayed in the face, that little piece of pipe was split, that would explain it...soon soon soon, sunshine is helping too....

Carol Sue~Too funny!! That's exactly what it was like.
Bonne~I love those dresses. So, so cute. The pioneer meets funky was cool to. I'll join you milking the cows.
Ok!! I went to Joannes looking for mini-apron patterns and couldn't find one. Now I need to try to make one up myself. Did you use a pattern, Bonne? Yours are so cute!!
Jess~I hope you are having a good day and feeling better. Can you come out and play? LOL
Steph~I hope you enjoyed your "trip" to the cabin. Soon.

Hey Bonne.....love the dresses. I can see you in that gold and orange with the real swirly skirt! Just perfect with that red hair!! Cute patterns...I would like any of them. Now that other designer with the hobo/cowgirl....whatever you call it...that is right up my alley. I love, love, love different clothes....the kind that only a woman with great self confidence can pull off (no wonder I never buy them!) Anyways...they are way cool....and a bit pricey...but you have to pay for unusual.
Cabin comment: Funny, Bonne! It would have been a typical cabin until I added my sewing room...that is what threw it over the edge a bit. But, you will see....it will look like a cabin when finished!
Karin...I see a common theme here...Jess could not find her jumper cables either. Ok ladies...everyone check your trunks...any more jumper cables missing?????

Bev, how did yours turn out? Didn't you buy one of those luscious prairie dress and pantaloon kits from that chic in England with the hand crank Jones machine? I was curious and keep forgetting to ask.
nay, you already know i love your cupcake, but i'll say it again.

Bonne, those dresses are all so sweet, I especially enjoy the funky, swirly numbers with the flowers. It reminds me of when I used to make clothes for myself at art school. Of course that was hundreds of years ago, and I wasn't a fat old lady. I still love to play dressup. People sometimes ask me if I belong to some obscure religious group...it's funny to me. Well, you have all your minis done Bonne, so I'm sure it wouldn't take you very long to whip out one of those halter dresses. Sometimes you can find a really great pattern in the retro Well, I better get going on the minis...
The car place came, I had managed finally to start the car so they took it in and tinkered with it, brought it back and told me that they ordered two parts that should be in next week. At no cost to you, of course, they said. That was what I wanted to hear.
Had to run in town for eggs so I stopped at the local fabric store and found some really sweet fabric for the minis, I'm sure I had something I could use here, but it never showed up. There is such a thrill to getting a new bit of cloth and patting it and admiring it for a bit before you cut into it. I am kind of retarded when it comes to fabric...
The temperature has risen so I can take down all my Christmas stuff and put it on the porch...
Ok, I'll go look for a couple quilt pics and put them on my blog....

You don't need patterns for mini aprons unless you are hopelessly anal~otherwise it will take you forever, 'right, you miniapron oldtimers?' Yes, I think we should all be sewing new outfits for ourselves "a la funky cowgirl/farmgal" style. How can you go wrong?. And yes, I remember Bev had ordered that gal's kit. Did it ever pan out? Karin, you MUST start sewing your own wardrobe again. If it's as unique as your quilts are, we'll all be inspired.

I just uploaded five pictures on my blog. Thanks for the kick in the pants, Bonne, it is easier to upload from the desktop. I just looked at your blog, wonderful owl hat, and the bag and the draft dodgers are swell. I keep meaning to photograph a few more things to put on my etsy site. Maybe I'll see if I can do that this evening. If the pictures upload as easily as these ones on my blog I will be pleased.
