Naomi posted a couple patterns, and I've got a couple patterns from the early 70's that I think I can modify to give me
the "look".

congrats on college bound son! Sheryl-Lyn

I like the funky outfits with bloomers the best.. Bonne, your dresses are nice but I think look best on skinny woman...I'm more on the rounder in the middle....I could look pregnant if I wasn't careful about what I wear. LOL

the funky cotton long skirts are just my style...I'm going to keep looking there and make that jacket she has. It is a simple pattern I could make to go with lots of things, don't ya think? I like clothes that are basically square/boxy, flat, loose and most of comfy...and feel like jammies.

WOW! Karen, those quilts are awesome! I don't ever think that I could get to the level that many of you gals are at in quilting.
I am cutting out aprons. I hope to get a lot of sewing done, but dh is trying to clear out our old den, which is now our youngest son's room. The things in the closet are mine. I have been working at whittling away. Dh is pushing about getting the things out of the room. He even put several items on our son's bed. He said,"Hon did you see Chris's room lately." Well, I did see it that morning when I was working in there. Well, dh wanted me to go in there because of the things that he was unloading from the closet. I was too wiped out to work any more. I don't care for others to dictate when and how fast I need to do things. My oldest son made a remark,"If you worked on it when you felt like it, it would take 10 years." I couldn't believe the remark.

Bonne....so you are making dresses for all of us?? yes, yes, I'll take one....it has to make me look at least 20 lbs thinner than the things I wear now...promise me!!! I know you can do it!! And I have to have purple bloomers to wear underneath it!

Karin!!! tell us about the way you used to dress. How do you dress now?? I get called a hippie often and told that I am stuck in the 60s...I laugh and say thank you! I think it's more stuck in the 70s with the long granny skirts and shawls and denim. Faded blue denim goes with anything anytime! I'd dress like Woodstock all the time if I could (except for the topless or nude times I heard they had) LOL

such cool stuff you talented ladies are posting. I see the patterns like you posted often Bonne, but never buy them. I look for old doll patterns and old costume ones for Jess to make.
Thought I was all well, but my stomach had other ideas. Don't like barfy mornings, glad it's not often. Must have picked up a bug but dont' know how or where, since I'd not been anywhere for over a week. Hoping tomorrow is better.
Love Karin's quilts, so amazing. If I put the colors together it would not look good I'm sure. Much admiration coming your way.
Short storm blew through today, just wind and rain.
Congrats to your son Sheryl-lyn, that should make all of you happy.
Naomi has done well also. Will you remember us when you're famous?
Yipppeeee, running water where it's supposed to be running at Carol Sue's.
Who got the first shower...maybe that was a nosy question :)
Teresa, the kid who essentially lived at our house during high school years grew up with often only dog chow to eat at his house. Not surprising he loved being with us, though son Jerry would tell him to go home for a day or two after several months. They're still buddies. Eli just had a lousy set of parents and was/is a good guy.

LOL @ Linda!

I really like the way she does the bloomers with the layering and all, but I'm wondering if I wouldn't look like a sack of potatoes in one of those get-ups. Won't know until I try though, huh? I've been gravitating more towards sleek and streamlined so I don't come off as looking frumpy. Perish the thought of "frumpiness"!!! I won't tolerate it!!! (and by sleek, I don't mean like this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat2_galley_16&listing_id=19492585)
Anyway, surfing Etsy today has given me food for thought~I'll be dreaming about dresses/sewing tonight~usually get some vivid dreams as it nears the full moon.

Good idea on the greenhouse! Oh, Jess, I know what you mean~the patchwork apron that Karin made for the miniapron swap
one time was so darn cute!! I'm so happy she's in this next swap. I think she'd really make some kick-a$$ custom clothing though.
