I've been gone today and come home to....
Ruth, I know you hurt yourself but missed the post saying what happened..hope all is ok!
(((((((((Jess))))))))... another challenge of living in old houses and this crap NEVER happens when you have all the help you need standing there beside you..what a drag...I wish I could make it all better for you. Oh, and I know those old windows leak like a seive..have you put plastic over your windows? I remember the first old house I lived in had the gas space heater (not vented)...wonder how we all lived through anything back then, right? )...anyhow, those windows leaked big time..the plastic really does help. What type of fuel do you use for heat?
The reprodepot fabrics site is fabulous. I love the Japanese import fabrics!
JenniferJuniper, nice to meet you and your apron is so cute!

Wow, you girls must have had pity on me, there aren't a zillion pages to read, bless each and every one of you. What does this mean we are gathering up our chatter bugs and getting ready to let them lose again.....lol.
Jennifer that was a very cute apron by the way.
Yes, Karin me, the plastic should help the windows, it helps ours, they are leaky single panes, except for one. Someday we will get them done....lol. It should help, especially with crazy drafts coming in and out.
Hey there Steph girl, shoot that reminds me I want to go back and look up the reproduction sites.....I really enjoy Aunt Gracies, 30 and 40 repros, something I truly don't have in my collection and a girl has to start doing that ya know....grin.
I inherited most of my fabric from dh's mom, which I am grateful for becasue it allowed me to do projects, have been adding some off and on. She tended to stick to certain colors and bought wad loads of it. So have been downsizing some of that for quite a while. So of coarse you know a girl has to add in yellows and oranges of which there were none, and beleive me there are still a very few out there, you could count that on one hand. Seriously. And I have used a lot to donate and do kiddie quilts for needy over the years. Now I want to do stuff for my house. Grin!!!!!
Autumn, looking forward to seeing your pictures in a day or so, go get some rest.....
I am hoping to sleep at some kind of somewhat normal hour tonight. What is there a normal.....lmao

Good morning, ladies!!
Jess~I hope you have a much better day today. The plumbing and cold can sure wear you down. I hope it is all set by today and that hubby is there to help you. Thank you for the super glue tip. I am trying that today.
Steph~Thank you~I cut my finger while trying to slice a loaf of bread. It's just a pain because of where it is~on the side of my first finger. It gets in the way of working.
We woke up today to 8 inches of snow. It wasn't supposed to be much. It was going to turn to rain but it is still snowing pretty heavy here. Funny thing the weather man is still saying there won't be much accumulation.
I went to the yarn store yesterday and bought the latest issue of Somerset Life. I wasn't supposed to buy anymore magazines or books but I just couldn't resist. I should never have picked it up. I did use a 50% off coupon on it. That helped. I love it!!!
We won't be going anywhere today. Just staying in front of the fire.

Bonne~Send some of that this way. We could use it.
Wanted to let you know that there is an email going around that says it's from Paypal but it's a pfishing email. I don't have a paypal but hubby does. He got an email saying that there had been some unauthorized activity on his account. It gave you a link to access your account immediately but the link was not for Paypal. Once he checked it it was taking you to another site which would probably take your information. Ruth

One thing to keep in mind- Paypal does not(to my knowledge) put links in their emails....It is always best to when in doubt, use your own shortcut, saved link, or to type in the address, rather then an email link.

Teresa, I can so relate to kids in bed! Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night to find myself sandwiched between my hubby and my son!
Ruth, I hope your finger is doing better!
Bonne, I guess I am a relic too! I hope someday to get a dishwasher! My problem is that I hate to buy paper plates! I think they are a waste of money!
If anyone is looking for the plastic storage drawers, Big lots has them for $18.00 for the ones with 5 drawers! The 3 drawer ones are $20.00 so they are a pretty good price! I am trying so hard to get organized and I think God is smiling upon my efforts because I did get a 3 drawer one at the thrift store for $5.00 and she has one that is 3 large drawers that she said she will sell to me for $5.00 as soon as she get it cleaned out! They are both in excellent condition and the large one runs around $30.00 at the store! Hopefully I will actually get things organized!
Somebody mentioned about the Walmart fabric dept. closing! They are closing the fabric in about 700 stores all together! Ours closed a year ago! At the end they mark everything %75 off and I got $800.00 for $200.00! If you ask a manager, you should be able to find out when they are going to do it!
I hope you all have a great afternoon! I am going to go sneak a nap while the kids are resting!

Isn't that just a crime about the fabric depts? Fabric is something I really want to touch before buying~oh sure it's nice to look online but I'd really prefer to shop in person. Judging by how busy some of the Joann's are around here, craftsiness isn't waning, it's waxing, but the shopping options are declining.

Hello, ladies!!
Thank you for the info on paypal. I don't have an acct because I'm not good with things like that and I would be the one they steal info from. I will give hubby that link, Bonne. He did want to let them know. I hope our Walmart isn't closing their fabric dept. I like to see what they have. I like to shop in person, too. I like to see it and touch it. It's not the same online. I went to the local Joannes yesterday and it was super busy.
Jess~When will the pipes be fixed? I hope it's soon. That's a little rough. Wish I could help somehow. Thanks the super glue was great, better than the bandages and it doesn't get in the way. Monica~Thank you. My finger is better today. Ruth

Bed...yes, we have queen size, too...me, john, emilia, gia, the twins, and often the boys, and always the cat...i'm so tired, i never know they are all there until i wake up.
I do not know when the pipes will be fixed, my husband has been in Mexico for the past week and is not returning until 4 am. I did not really wanna announce it, but at this point I don't care anymore.
I have so many dishes, I dont know how I could keep up without a dishwasher.
More fun today as the mngmnt co for my condo called and my condo is flooded, so I got to go over there and deal with that. I am past being able to deal with all this bs.
