Carrie: I do usually sew every night, so I will schedule the swap items for certain nights and get them done. Are the aprons full or half? I might make one this weekend if I get my minis cut out.
I have a quilt class this Thursday night and I am cutting the pieces out tonight. We have to bring cut pieces with us. Over 1000 pieces before the other 1000 that make up the border. It is a scrap quilt though,so I will be using up a lot of my stash. Very exciting.
I have literally been watching the Obama inauguration stuff all day between school and home. No matter how a person voted, this is such an exciting time for America, huh? In my lifetime, black kids and white ones did not always attend school together and now black children can aspire to be our president. How cool is that? listening to all those people who traveled to DC to see it really made me cry A LOT!! What a sap I am!

another metric one for you 15 liters is how many gallons?
Sheryl-lyn I have all the faith in the world in you I think all that stuff usually was decided between you and your partner. If making ahead I would go full cause when I did it that was what everyone was doing.
I watched it to and I think it is a giant proud moment for African Americans. It is a wonderful thing for kids to see it does give them hope. I think he will be a good president
thanks Jess |

Oh whoa girl 1000 pieces for the body of it and 1000 for the border. Wow that is a lot of cutting, you will have to show us more when you get some done.
I have been watching some of the Obama inaugration stuff, it has been something. I missed his speech though, was sleeping darn it. I am sure there is somewhere where they will show it again. Another load of laundry done, 2 more to go. Why is that never ending.
Dry soap 3 bars Castile, or Fels Nap(sp) 1 box Washing Soda 1 box Baking soda, I use two 2 small boxes or a larger one if they have it 1 box Borax 1 container Oxy Clean
You grate the soap down and then throw it in your food processor to make it much smaller so it doesn't clump. Forgot to do this last batch and had some soap streaks in a few of my loads....
Mix like crazy, I put mine in an old popcorn tin. I also use vinegar to rinse. I need to make another batch as I ran out but that for us 2 in this household lasted for almost 8 months. My clothes are so much softer when I am using it and I don't break out. If you find yourself breaking out, it could be the borax. Just a hint.
Right now, am using cheap detergrent and boy can I tell the difference.

I think I have about half of the pieces cut now! I use a June Taylor grid and can cut lots at a time. I will be done with cutting by tomorrow night.
That soap sounds good! I want to make some too.

I think that would be the most fun I could have when I am cutting like a robot for hours! I'll supply the wine, or martini, or whatever!
