Ok! Bev~I just went to that link for the sneak peak. OMG!! It's amazing all those great ideas. I will probably pick mine up at Joannes. They always have the Somerset Magazines. If I can't find it there I will go to Barnes and Nobles. It works out cheaper than ordering it.

I am broke and cheap. Our dentist is getting rich on us.

Just kidding~he's super nice. I have a horrible fear of dentists. This is the only one I have ever gone to more than once.

Bonne~stop teasing us with all your warm weather talk.

Send us some of those yummy cinnamon rolls. Our mouths are watering over here.

I love the wood heat and who cares about the dust. I clean it when I can otherwise it stays there. I love warm floors. We have hardwoods and before the wood heat they were always freezing cold.

Dental Visits. Gotta have 'em. Pay off that dentist, Ruthie,
then you can start squirreling away some cash for your treadle before another dental emergency
arises and takes all the $$ again. I just dropped almost a grand at the dentist myself for hubs and I.
Insurance only covers ckups and xrays it seems. :(
I also need a new fridge and TV~those got put on the back burner because of Ms. Dentist. **sigh**

Bonne~I know~well he's getting paid off~slowly but surely. I have had braces for 2 1/2 yrs. Should be coming off soon so I got to take good care of these babies. I don't want them falling off right after fixing them. I had TMJ and my jaw was a mess but my dentist referred me to this ortho and he's great. Miracle worker~to the tune of $4000. Then dd got her braces and we paid $2100~insurance covered half. Now ds will need them in the next year. When will I get my machine~boohoo.
Too bad you're far away~I have an extra fridge~left here by the previous owners. It could be yours.

I'm staring at a $291.00 dental bill (which is the 50% that insurance is supposed to pay) because they didn't submit the claim properly..it pains me in a very big way when we pay the huge monthly premiums and then the provider doesn't follow through the way they are supposed to...seems you have to indirectly do their jobs for them at times...gee, where's my paycheck for all my time spent doing their job??

Hey ladies! Carol Sue said I should just jump in and visit with this thread. Good Lord there is no way to read the entire 729 pages, but if I go into the hospital with my mother again I'll have plenty to read! Now I've got to start some cinnamon rolls because I'm craving them after reading about them! I am trying to design an apron that is actually "slenderizing"... think lycra, spandex, black! Perhaps NOT eating cinnamon rolls would be more slenderizing!

Speaking of aprons, I got these quilt squares in the mail from Tribalcime that were from "Sissyquilts"'s quilt shop and after mixing and matching several of them, I thought they'd morph into an apron nicely! The colors are warm greens and pinks and I've a pink feedsack lookalike print that would work for the waistband and ties. Whomever is my partner, in Carrie's Apron Swap, is going to get it, I believe. I think it will look awesome.

Bev, of course it is.....I knew you would like the treadle. Post a pic on your blog..would like to see it worked up.

Thanks for posting the submission stuff for the Apronology..I wonder if they'll accept aprons that represent different holidays?? You think?

When I read what you said about representing this topic....first thing I thought was that Mary Jane's Magazine ought to be doing a feature story on this topic. There are so many of us that either make aprons or collect them...

I agree with you Steph.

I think they would take submissions of any type of apron...you should see some of the wild ones in the magazine.

Oh, I wish I could share my whole copy with you all!!

Bonne~I want to be your partner. Your apron sounds great.

Dana~Welcome and too funny. Go ahead and make that apron, put it on and enjoy some sticky buns.

I am putting together a spicy shepherds pie for supper. It's the only way my family will eat shepherds pie and I love it.

Bev, how many other cabins does this contractor have going right now? He's most probably shifting his different crews back and forth..And the carpentry finishing takes the longest since you don't want anyone messing up those details...way to much sloppy workmanship out there these days so hopefully your guy is very well aware that you are expecting a custom job. It's gonna be knock out beautiful....like you keep telling me...the time will fly by!!! :0)
