I've been looking through the sourdough cookbook Ronna sent with my starter~you can throw sourdough starter into just about anything you bake. I've got 2 batches of brownies in the oven that I added 1/2 c. of starter to. I'm going to use my Stitch n B#tch gals as testers for them today~lol

Hey hey hey.....I make everyone an apron? mmmm...now that IS a great way to de-stash..... Oh, the brownies are great. I didn't do any substitutions , just added 1/2 cup of sourdough starter to a double batch.

Just came back from Walmart. Our Walmart is supposed to close it's fabric section, too. They don't know when. I was sad to hear it. I have my eye on some fabric I want to buy if it goes on clearance.
visited Andover Fabrics site. I love the French Farmhouse and Zenith fabrics.

Ruthie, the reason I get things done is: 1) no kids around 2) whenever Jess gets going on a roll, "slacker guilt" overwhelms me as I think, "look at her go! with 8 kids to wrassle! What's YOUR excuse??"lol
Well, YAY you may get to scoop up clearance deals, but "BOO" to them closing that dept!

Excitement, another treadle has been rescued. Will look forward to pictures of it...Karin, I never would do yardsales due to so much to lug in and out..so shopping as you walk through sounds like a good plan.
Kim, I'm glad you are having success in raising money for your son's trip...

Bonne~When I see all Jess gets done I surely feel like a slacker. I can't even compare. I get tired homeschooling the two I have. She is amazing in all she gets accomplished. She will keep us all on track here. No lazybones allowed. LOL
Steph~I can't begin to tell you how much I am enjoying all those images you are sharing with us.

I've not added sourdough starter to Brownies, but know it's great in any quick bread recipe or cakes such as carrot/zucchini. Bonne will have to let us know the verdict. Brownie recipe I use is similar to Bonne's. I love them really chewy/fudgy with the crackly shiny thin crust on top. Shall we do a taste comparison of the two? Thought I was going to have the first two weeks in Feb off, since Hasbro asked for voluntary time off, but not going to happen. They gave my manager the money back into her payroll. I'm still determined to make use of my off time (3 days one week, 4 the next) to get that sewing room uncluttered and cleared out..only 3 weeks left to do the mini aprons. I do need to get the starter mailed to those of you who have requested. If anyone else wants to be added to the list, email me your address. Tempted to try using double freezer ziplocs wrapped with bubble wrap and a padded envelope. Finding the tiny boxes is sometimes not easy and most checks come in flimsy cardboard now..that's what I used to use for it.

The MJF fabric will probably be quilt shop pricing...$8.00 to $12.00 per yard...someone can jump in and correct this is they know different..just going by what my local quilt shop fabs cost.
Ruth, I'm glad you are enjoying my new blog. It's been a lot of fun for me to see what I really have...having it all in large clothes baskets right now with the moving has made it easier to go through.

Ronna, don't know if it would work but USPS has small media box that I think is free..you may be able to cut it down a bit and make it work.
