| Ruth Wish I could help I would love to play on a new one. But you are doing a basic straight stich read manual for settings then try on a piece of scrap. That will also make you want to try a new stitch a day on scrap. How old is it? |

Newsflash.....we sold our house (condo)....YAY. The only hitch is that we are going to settle probably before the log home is done.....oh my....everything will be packed into storage and we will live in the 20x20 A-frame for the summer. No sewing for me during that time....no place to sew......Oh me oh my!
But, all in all, is great news with today's economy and all.....

that is soooo awesome bev, it means no worries about trying to sell but bummer about the sewing. however i am guessing that you will be spending most of your time in the gardens anyways. you could always knit or crochet something it doesnt take up alot of room.
ok so i got a tiny bit picked up and then the sunshine was calling my name and i couldnt help but take a walk. that and the fact that i got my hats from ruth and so the baby and i had to use them for a test run outside. the fresh air was wonderful and the sunshine is great too. i am just itching for spring to start my projects. i have to build a new fence cause the snow took out our old one and build a bunny pen thats better and fix up the porch and not to mention all of the inside projects. hopefully i will get a garden in but i dont know yet.
hey jess do you have any pics of your bunny hutch i want to build a better one cause the one they have isnt that great.

Congratulations Bev. Like it was mentioned before. During the summer, you are usually working on the garden. It is hard going through a spell of not sewing. It has been two weeks here without mine, and I wouldn't know what to do if it was a whole summer. You will think of something. You always do.

congrats Bev! You can make space...do like some of us...put a portable on the eating table...then take it down only when you have to. I use my ironing board to measure and cut on. Think about Naomi...with her craft/sewing station in her bedroom! send us pic of the A-fram....I'll go look at your blog congrats again on selling. luve, Linda

bev, you will be fine, do some hand work. my hubs had an a frame until we got together, glad i did not have to live in it.
well, I nearly have the snake scarf complete. Wrestled Carmen for some yarn and a crochet hook, head is done and 6 striped sections. Thanks to Bonne and her pattern crafting abilities, and Ruth who set me straight and let me know that I am in charge of my yarn! Pics in a few hours! Promise I wont make you wait this time.

So glad the condo sold, Bev...and yes, can totally relate to that, "Oh me, Oh my o"...LOL It won't be for long. And you can always not plant such a huge crop this year so it won't be so demanding...Everything has fallen into place for you guys and I'm so thrilled for you. Just think about the fall season.

ha yes i was going to suggest it, but bev has so much more to grow in summer than i do, just focus there bev, try not overwhelming yourself for once.
here is a bit of funny for all of you. we have not seen sun in weeks. So we get 18 inches of snow, which is a huge amount for us, it takes all of us all day to clear our driveay...so what happens as my hubs is out there sweatin to death shovelin and snow blowin, he takes of his hat, and tonight he has a ragin sunburn on his bald dome

Oh Bev, Happy Happy Dance that the condo is sold. That must be a relief and you have a bit of time to fiugre on the sewing dilema, you could always put a machine on a porch and sew out in the open for the summer. Just a thought, but ususally you are gardening like mad as well.
Jess, great job on figuring the scarf.
Oh I am forgetting things already girls and there were only 3 pages....
Karin, you skated your way into town, ow did you. Glad your magazine was there.
Ruth, when you are rady and can take the time you will play with those stitches.

Carrie~Wow, I'm being threatened. I will get to it.
I got my minis cut out but then I remembered I had to make a timeline for the kids' coop classes tomorrow. I teach history and forgot all about it. So I had to put minis aside and complete the timeline. It's now finished. I will probably work a little more on the minis.
Jess! Yeah~I knew you could do it. Can't wait to see pics. Can't believe hubby has a sunburn.
Teresa~I can't wait to see a picture of the all of you with your owl hats. So cute.

I am happy you guys did not talk for like a hundred pages today. Made it easy to keep up and see what you were all doing. School and drama club are going well so far. I even got a little sewing time this morning because we had a delayed opening. A third strip for the quilt is done (and sewn on!!) and the fourth is started. There are five strips, so maybe before the weekend is over, I will have them all together.
Karin: hope your pain is subsiding by now! nasty to twist your ankle over and over.
Jess: How is the tea cozy coming? The minis? I hope I am not late with the tea cozy;)
