Ruth, Don't be intimidated with your machine! I get like that with some projects and I take forever to start them because I am afraid I am going to goof something up! You make break your machine, but the more likely thing to happen will be that you will miss out on having fun sewing with it until you just jump in! Take a deep breath and GO FOR IT!!!!! They are really not that easy to break!!

Gals, I have my machine. Just waiting for a new foot pedal and word on another part. While we were talking, Joe says,"The bobbin makes a clicking noise." I told him that it was news to me. It turns out that there was a bur that had to be filed down, and the bobbin is showing wear as well. The machine is quieter now.

Here I am!! Bonne- now how did you know I was up to mischief????
I did 2 really terrible things today- I took 2- yes 2 naps on the couch!!!! I Never sleep or nap during the day- but I guess I needed it. Had a little crying jag yesterday- my sweet friend has a rare dangerous disease-Clarkson Disease. She just returned from Mayo Clinic in Minn. If you think of it- please say a prayer for her. She has 7 beautiful kiddos and a sweet hubby. Anyway- after crying with her and then talking until we laughed was good. Sure seems like a lot od sad this year, huh? ANYWAY- the naps helped! I also was busy working on a little project for Miss Bossy Bonne You know I'm kiddin ya! Looks like Carrie is gonna make Ruth get on that machine-she's been watchin you Bonne!!!!
Congrats Bev!!!!! Temporary inconvienience- but by the end of summer-a whole new start!!!!!!No loose ends!!!!WOO!HOO!
Blessings, Autumn Farmgirl #49 http://simplytoday-autumn.blogspot.com/

| I stopped at Barnes & Noble today. Didn't see Apronology, so asked the guy merchandising. He had it in the back and offered to go get one for me. Yayyyy. Some really unique ideas. Now the wheels are turning in my brain, thinking of aprons to make from some of my $1 party dresses and other fabrics. For someone who will not wear an apron, this could be interesting. |

Hey Bonne....Hubbs and I had a date tonight....went to see Revolutionary Road. Leo was great...Kate was amazing....well acted...artisticly wonderful....but really depressing. We were out to celebrate selling the house an both left the theatre wiped out...emotionally. Oscar-worthy for sure.
Thanks guys for the cheers and words of encouragement. You are right, I can just wheel my treadle out on the deck and sew with the birdies!!!
Autumn...so sorry about your friend. You have had way too much to deal with this year. Keep your chin up...we love you!!
Jess....tell hubbs he has to wear sunscreen on his head...all the time. We don't want him getting any skin lesions on his cue ball!!
Sharon...you poor gal.....sewing withdrawal is awful.
And for those of you who have had the pleasure of enjoying any sunshine...I am truly envious. We have not seen the sun here in weeks, I swear.

I did get the machine back. I jokingly said to Joe, "I heard my machine calling me." Anyways, just waiting for the foot pedal, and news of what it will cost to replace another piece. He could tell that I use the machine a lot. I take good care of the machine, but the cheap plastic cover for the accessories broke off. It is so sad that we can not just replace an inexpensive part, but instead have to buy a whole slide off unit (the piece that I take off if I want to put on the embroidery unit). The shop is trying to see if I can just get the part that I need instead of the whole unit piece.

Teresa-Tell Beth if she just smiles and believes really hard she will find a best friend just like her sister-sometimes Let her have play dates and sleepovers then watch how fast she has a best friend

If it were not for Beverly's apron in Apronology, I probably would not have spent $14.95+tax for it. I'm glad I did though, lots of great ideas. Autumn, enough already, you've had more than your share of deaths recently. If you're being tested to see how strong you are, please tell the man upstairs that you've passed and it can stop anytime now. Rare disease, have not ever heard of it and will have to research online.

That's crazy my nearest store carrying apronology is 4 1/2 hours away. I did see previews though and it is a bit pricey for my blood |

Carrie, Here's the link to purchase Apron-ology
http://www.stampington.com/html/apronology.html
They are more like coffee table books then just a magazine..so they're well worth the price if you're into that sort of thing...I'm hooked on books so that takes care of that..LOL ...and the type of designing that shows up in this company's publications are right in tune with my brain. ....very inspiring and out of the box.
