Jess, the snake scarf turned out great!
Monica...I will take that sun.
Steph...I agree....the Somerset Studio Mags are all keepers..I have a bookshelf of them from years and years of collecting...especially when I was heavily into rubber stamping. Now that they are delving into fabric arts....oh it is hard to resist them.
Hoping to bring life to Raggedy Andy today....and have a ton of ice to chip of the walkways.
Have wonderful day, gals!

Autumn~I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I will be praying for her. It has been a tough year for you. Praying for you, too.
Teresa~So sorry to hear about Beth. My daughter had a tough time in school making friends. Kids can be so mean sometimes. I know she had many sad days in first grade. Even the teacher chose favorites and my daughter was not one of them. It really caused her to act out. Not a good time. I will be praying for your daughter.
I can't wait to get Apronology. I will have to wait until next week. Have to get paid on Friday first.

Jess~The scarf came out great. Sorry to hear about the swap. I hate when you think you are making something that will be great and then when you're done it's awful. It has happened to me a few times. So discouraging. I know you'll come up with something great.
Bev~Can't wait to see Andy when he's all done.
I love the Somerset magazines. I just picked up Somerset Life last week. So awesome. I have a ton of them saved up, too.
The kids have coop classes today. It is nasty cold here again. Last night the snow turned to rain and made such a mess. There was a leak in the basement. We think it's from the front steps. We had to spend some time cleaning that up. Hubby had to go break the ice off the steps so the rain wouldn't pool there and run into the basement. Not fun!
Hope you all have a good day!

Hey Ronna- yes it is rare- Cappilary Leak Syndrome(Clarkson Disease) Only 100 cases ever reported. She's a tiny girl-ok she's 40-but may weigh 120 lbs on a good day.
Lots of catching up to do here too. I have 6 squares done for the swap and hope to get that many more done today..
We had 2-3 70 degree days and now we are at 34 so I slow down. I could not do that 0 degree stuff some of you are enduring!!!! I am a baby about cold!!! Tks for your prayers- I will be fine. Did my crying and likely will cry again but I feel stronger now and a bit more durable Love you all!!!!

Jess, that snake scarf is really fabulous!
I haven't started my quilt block swap yet, but my mini aprons really look horrible to me. I think I may have to bow out of the swap this time. I guess my brain is on empty this winter.
Autumn, you take good care of yourself, it is hard to be dealing with so much sadness at once. And it is winter to boot.
Bev, Glad to hear you sold your condo, the real estate market is dead around here. I look forward to seeing pictures of your garden and your goats this summer, and you'll find time to sew if you really need to. I carry handwork with me wherever I go when I'm going to be waiting. That is one of the plus factors about hand applique!
Fibro has me in its clutches at the moment. Time for coffee and meds.

thanks for all the comps on the scarf girls. gonna start another this weekend.
autumn, what is the prognosis for your friend? how is her hubs handling it all?
sorry bout the leak ruth, suck big time.
karin, keep working away, your mini aprons are always a treat.
ok gotta clean up, i feel like i say this everyday, i really think no one would ever no that at some point in most 24 hour periods my house is clean.
it does not last 5 mins, and then we craft, my entire house looks like an out of control studio, with an obsession with unfolded laundry.
have a great morning girls.

Looks like we are going to see New in Town, Renee Zilwiger and Harry Connick Jr...IF I can get a sitter. it's funny and predictible but reminds me so much of Alaska! he wanted me to pic the movie..so I did there wasn't anything else I liked on.
But bad news is x husband problems.....I don't care if he EVER sees his dad again..believe me I decided a LONG time ago I would do anything to keep my child safe...including emotional abuse. I am doing what I can...sometimes it feels like I won't have a personal life ever. :-(

Linda, I hope you get the happiness you deserve, life is such an adventure...
Not enough pain pills to prop me up, so I posted a few more pictures on my blog, and then I can pretend I accomplished something today....

Move to Arkansas Linda. Don't you have a child there? Great movie choice! Romantic comedies are always winners. Yeah, after I read the synopsis of the book, "Revolutionary Road", I rethunk that one. Too sad.
Jess, the scarf is fabulous!! I think that snake is going to lay eggs~watch out for more snakes appearing.

Jess- the prognosis is unclear. Any one of the 3 episodes in the last 13 months could have killed her. It may be that recognizing the onset is all that will be done-tricky in itself! Starts with sniffles????? Go figure-in sw louisiana-MOLD CITY and high allergy area due to chemical industry- she has to limit stress physical as well as emotional and really all these are just hopeful steps.
There is not a mortality rate established or a treatment- it's all in managing the leakage of the cappiliarries once an episode does start. It takes her months to recup from an episode.
It all happens so fast that it's hard to realize what is happening inside her body-once she feels ill it's too late-shes in ICU for days to weeks-and then months before she can walk again. She swells so much-probably 40 lbs in a matter of hours!!!
Since only 100 cases are known(25 of them have died) it's unclear what, how and when about it all.

oh autumn thats just not fair to her or her kids
jess, snakes are multiplying.... SCREAM yeah that would be me running in terror away from your house. lol
gonna go talk to beths teacher today and luckily she is a great teacher and will actually do things to help out. she expressed her concern about her maybe being pushed around at converences cause she is such an easy going girl. that and i am already working on the playdates. the biggest problem is that she had 3 girls she played with all the time last year and they are in the same class again but unfortenatley for some reason there is a lot of you can only be my friend things going on and she just wants things to be back how they were. so we are doing are best to handle the situation

some times your kid does not get a best friend, fun to have one, but a wide variety is good too, teaching to not play exclusively will help your kids in the long run, i am no psychoanalyst, but I see hundreds of kids every year on a regular basis

Geez, I'm glad I've got my mini's AND my big apron for the swaps done. My serger is acting up. #4 thread keeps breaking off. Now, Sergers, I don't have back-ups to. I'll just have to sit down and figger it out~begin by cleaning out all the accumulated lint....

good afternoon, ladies!
I feel like crap. Another head cold. I can't take this winter anymore. Need some springtime bad.
Carrie~I didn't get to play with my machine yet. The kids had coop classes from 9 am-2 pm. We just got home a little while ago. I need to try it tonight though.
Autumn~I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Are her children young? I will keep her in prayer.
Linda~Sorry about the x prob. I know you don't need to be dealing with that kind of stuff.
Jess~I think that snakes will take you over. Before you know it they'll be everywhere.
Bonne~i hope your serger is better soon.
supper's in the crock pot and i'm glad i don't have much to do. I'm going to go take something and see if my head feels better soon. everything is a mess around here. snow, ice, rain~yuck~it's melting and has nowhere to go so we have flooding.

Suzanne, I want to see that movie, "New In Town" I will have wait for it to come out on DVD, or maybe go to the movie by myself. I am pretty sure that my Dh wouldn't go to see the movie.
