Ok, you gals that needed sewing How-To books. Did you shop Ebay like I mentioned? I just received 2 sewing books ~one from 1970 and one from 1979 that I won on Ebay for a penny. Only cost me shipping~a whopping 3 bucks. They're Simplicity's.
So anyway, I don't want to hear any excuses, like "can't afford". Check these out~I'm seeing a "buy it now" one like mine for $1.99.

Ruth- excuses excuses that worked for the last 5 months but you are a changed women moving forward with no excuses just accomplishments. Tomorrow we want to see a sample of 2 stitches for not doing your homework ha ha

Teresa-I have gone through those things with my daughter and continue to it goes on for a long time. They are girls I think she probably is jealous she has noone over when her sister does or when she goes to her friends Kids are natural socializers. Unfortunately we can not make kids be her friend that is why I always had kids at my place and still do. Hope I am helping out here.

wow, Ruth is getting a huge boot to the rear from Carrie for not making friends with her sewing machine. Good thing she doesn't know "my story". Bad enough I have Bonne and Steph and the rest of you on my case :)

My friend Marilyn has 7 kids-ranging in age from 26 to 8-
All but one still live at home-lots of teenagers and college students. Thay have a beautiful life-she's an artist.
I talked to her today and we are going to have coffee together tomorrow. She can't drive so I told her I'd take her anywhere she wants to go!
She wants to come out here to spend the day too-maybe next week.

I think we are on the "get busy living" part of all this right now. No time for crying-maybe later.
We are both hoping that she can whip this thing but realistically we know that she may not- so we are gonna finish all the conversations that we've started ,only to be interrupted by kids, for the past 20 years!
I told her to keep up her blog-she just started last year sometime-there's a link on my blog-It's called My Seven Sparrows(for her 7 kids) -go take a peek -maybe she'll be inspired to start writing again.

Blessings,
Autumn

Of course we will Autumn visit and leave comments. No matter what thier ages it is so hard for them to know they could lose someone so close but thankfully she is still here so yes doing all the things you can is the way to go.

Jess, Vincent the Elf rules! It reminds me of a costume I made for my son Martin when he was around 8, Taran Wanderer from the Lloyd Alexander book. You really are so good at all these costumes and everything else too!

Suddenly got a small brain spurt and have finished half of my mini aprons this afternoon and hope to do the rest tonight.

Bonne, you have finished the minis and your apron, how come you didn't sign up for the farm quilt block swap? You could do yours and mine and someone else's too! You are just the sewing dynamo!

I have been trying to get to the movies forever it seems like, last week my daughter and I were going to see Slumdog Millionaire but I got lost on my Treadle Hunt and we missed the only showing. I love going to the movies, especially in the winter, i'm, always ready for the viswual escape, I'll go for the landscape if I think it will be good. I always try to sink right into the movie, it is such a soothing escape, depending on the film of course.

Time for more caffeine and more sewing...
