Jess, I got my machine back last night. I was too wiped out to sew. I finished the order for a customer and sent that out today. I did some cutting and sewing today, but still wiped out.

Like yesterday, anytime I would begin a project, the phone would ring. My oldest son was working for a friend and he was trying to fix the fax system. Guess who had to keep sending faxes until it was successful?

Wow jess, you are the best, I love the acorn cup hat and the elf shoes are fabulous. Isn't it great when they love the things you make for them. I made my son Martin a kilt a few years ago (he will be 22 in February) and he still wears it every now and again. And in public no less.

Bonne, my treadle is still in my van, because my van is at the bottom of my driveway and I can't sonvince anyone to lug it up the icy slope to my house. I plan to visit the town dirt pile this weekend and get some salt?dirt and get enough of it spread so that I can get to the top of the driveway without ending up in a snowbank, my giant cedar hedge, or just generally in the puckerbrush. I do have to go get a belt for it though, so at least I'll have the machine with me when I go looking for one.

Back to work on the minis, I have to get them done....

Oh me oh my buzy preparing for quilt block swap. Everyone must be working on swap stuff. I even finished up valentine stuff.

Now I got jar blocks to cut then some bird house to cut out for blocks whew wearing myself out. Glad I am friends with my sewing machine. (Had to throw out a jab sorry Ruth)

I got to have lots of projects on the go so the stress eats me up and I sew to shut it up. LOL

This all keeps me out of trouble-ya right

So what is everyone else up to?

Theresa ~ I had a different "best friend" every year until 7th grade - they kept moving away at the end of the year (a college town will do that) or ignoring me after summer break. It can be rough, but she'll survive - especially with as sweet as your family sounds. If you're not one of the "cool" kids, you're more free to get interested in whatever - girl scouts, yearbook, whatever since you don't have that much of an illusion to present. At least that's how it was for me.

In sewing fun, I just found out one of my newer friends is a sewing genius, so I forsee me picking her brain or having her help me or show me how to do things in the future. Very cool. And she's only a few miles away from me rather than my mom who's 2 hours away.

Monica, keep looking under "mohave county" for something closeby.
If you want to drive to Flagstaff, here's a beaute http://flagstaff.craigslist.org/fuo/994700361.html
Otherwise, ck Las Vegas area Craiglist for a fieldtrip day.

Bonne~Thank you! That one is wonderful. DH says no extra money right now. Heating this house and the dentist has taken all our extra. We have to order more wood~probably 2 cords and that will be about $300-$400. It depends what the price is right now. Bummer!!!

Jess~Amazing work. You just learned to crochet hats today. That came out awesome. You sure have been busy.

I will get to my sewing assignment today. Probably after lunch. I have to get the kid's progress reports ready for the school dept before lunch so hubby can mail them. I waited until the last minute again this time. I just hate doing them. Anyway, I need to get busy on that.

Carrie~I promise to do my homework. Please don't send me to the dungeon. Give me time, pppppllllleeeeeaaaaasssssseeeeee!

Wow~Suzanne~25 pages of reading. Welcome.

Teresa~Where are those pictures? LOL
