Being lazy again today.......surfing Etsy.......ck out this wild stuff: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5472350 For some reason I like it though~definitely unique...Bev? I think of Bev when I think of felting wool.........I can see some forest nymphs cavorting at Apron Fest "08" in these get-ups. heheeee
I started out searching, "wrap skirt" and got all kinds of inspiration~I must have a dozen wrap skirt patterns I've collected over the years~i've been so uninspired the past coupla weeks....need a boost in the crafting dept.

Truly unique, Bonne....can't see myself in any of these....but they sort of have that Merlinesque feel....or perhaps Lord of the Rings, you get my drift.
Anyhow....I am not sure what shen meant by them being wetfelted....I assumed that wet felting was when you washed wool and it shrunk and became felted....these seem almost like they have been needle felted in strips....????Any idea, Bonne?

I'm not familiar with her methods, but then maybe it's her own development. Yeah, it's fantasy wear for sure.
I'm baking biscuits today.....with beef, bean and barley stew that's been simmering since last night. Autumn got me spoiled on these biscuits! LOL

Those biscuits are the same for me- I think of things to cook to go with biscuits!!I was thinking of you today- I made some journal covers with the sample upholstery pieces my sil gave me last year- wasn't it you that had a bunch of those samples? They turned out sooo good and talk about easy!!!
I have em all ready to embelish tonight by the fire.
Give yourself a inspiration rest- I did last week and then I got this burst of energy for creating projects.

Blessings,
Autumn

I had no idea so many of us are Lucy fans!! Wonderful. I actually know the words to almost EVERY single episode. One of my favorites is when Cousin Ernie Ford stays with them and sleeps sideways in the rollaway bed. I laugh just when I see the episode title! He has such a way with words and was my first introduction to Southern "talk!"

Thanks Bev! I love how hannahs turned out, and really want to make her a few skirts and dresses she can wear over the crinoline. Next up, hmmm...design a canvas bag to hold 2 wine bottles, make up some 50s apron patterns I got(y'all will love em, full coverage and figure flattering!) make myself a crinoline, make myself some 50s dresses, also, got a 50s blouse pattern, that matches to my measurements exactly!! And make and stamp a bunch of teatowels to work on. I got so many awesome embroidery patterns from Miss Wilma I cant wait to use them(copies of them that is!) anywho...gotta run..cant sew til I get some of this tortur---I mean schoolwork done :P (j/k mom!)

Naomi, really great dresses. You are so funny when you talk about doing your schoolwork... you sound just like my son. He loves to be doing anything and everything else, (especially something creative) Love those victorian houses too. Beautiful!

Bev, I read your blog, and also recognized a couple of those gorgeous prints on the aprons. I enjoyed seeing the photo album of the farm.

Bonne, I like the felt vine skirt and the other style skirt at the Etsy shop..oh and the guanlets...Would all look good worn over jeans I think. But I tend to think alot of so called "fantasy wear" is an everyday garment.

Bev, they are really nice! I haven't made my own Christmas apron yet.... "yet". Maybe I'll get inspired soon....I figure I can wear it past the holidays anyway.
:-) :-D

Naomi..have ya seen any I LOVE LUCY yet? Be sure to tell us what you think. You may realize that some women comedies have been made inspired by them. The first one that comes to mind is Laverne and Shirley...of course that's old to you too...LOL !
