Just 5 days left to create. Feeling the crunch, I guess. I am off to town to do some grogercy shopping and I don't have to go anywhere near the stores later. Then if I have time I am going to make apron with my bee fabric. I have lots of fabric to sew for my craft fairs. I will be busy this winter.

Are you kidding?? No posts in a whole day? Is somebody working on a merit badge for outpost? I guess everyone is feeling the same crunch for time as me. I'll be out for a few days so ya'll have a great holiday and spread some goodness wherever you go!!!

Since I learned to post pics I have been wanting to show this. It's an apron panel I bought on ebay. It has everything to cut out and make an apron, vintage of course. I couldn't bear to cut it and decided it would make a great curtain for my kitchen!

ooh Linda that is cute! I'd totally make it into the apron! and either wear it, or hang it up for display!!!
lets see...last night I made the cutest felt donkey..had an old pattern from I'd say maybe the 50s...I plan to make more for my Etsy store, though I didnt do the best of jobs on this one, I love how it turned out! I WILL post pictures soon....really I will

omg! I have been away for so long, that took awhile for me to catch up.
Autumn, great ornaments and cook book cover, I love it!
Bev, great aprons, you blog looks swell.
Bonne...I am so excited for you and the ruffler, the apron is smashing!
oh and Bonne, I love the wet felted clothing, I would love each one for my everyday clothes. I have done the wet felting recently, worked out ok, but not my forte.
Tina...i love your penny rugs!!! LOVE them, I asked for some books about it for christmas.
NAy...you are one amazing chica...great outfits, you got it all done. good job, working under a deadline is so much more productive for me, but then something comes up and i miss the deadline, so never mind...no advice from me.
Sheryl...your curtains and tablecloth look so sweet.
sharon, how is your mother? did your shows all go well?
okay if i missed anyone, I really appologize, i just read like 10 pgs.
Merry Christmas to all of you, you have made this year really awesome for me. Thank you!
Now, I must start cooking and finish laundry. |

Jessica, the shows went very well despite the horrible winds that we had. My mom on the other hand is a book in itself. A book that has been poorly written, with bad decisions on her part all along the way. My brother and I are going to try to talk some sense into her today. Many prayers are needed.

good luck with that.
my parents are full of poor decisions, i understand that feeling.
my dad, we just found out this week has a brain tumor and in the process has removed me from beneficiary of all his stuff and put on his girlfriend, and she does not even live with him or is a long termer or anything, i don't get it. on top of that we are going to have to put my nearly 90 yr old grams in a care unit, her alzheimers is really bad and we can no longer help her. ehhh, such is life, full of hard things, but life at my house is christmas sweet right now.
hope all goes well with your mother! |

My mom requires kidney dialysis 3 times a week, and this past week she had one. She refused treatment last Monday and yesterday. Since my mom is being obstinate, the doctor put in a order for my mom to go back to the hospital. My mom refused that ambulance as well. She has a hard time with the dialysis because she isn't going the required amount of times each week. My mom took my brother's name off of the list of contacts, and wants me to be the only one to be contacted. The social worker has given me the paperwork to see if I can get my mom to sign the power of attorney over to me. For some reason my trusts me over my brother. I told the social worker that this isn't my mom. My mom relied heavily on both my brother and myself. I was told that not getting the dialysis by another member here that it causes confusion. My mom is definitely not herself. She accused the social worker of forcing her to sign papers yesterday, and the social worker wasn't in the room. I am sorry for going on and on, and I apologize.

ugh, sometimes family stuff is so petty with wills and such.
Jess, good care for Alzheimers patients is a blessing. I'm so thankful my mom is in a nice facility. Family just isn't equiped to deal with it all and professional care can really be the loving answer for the family and patient.

yep, grams has a lot now that needs helped, so she is going into full time alheimers unit in 1 week, so that will be very helpful to her as her sudden deterioration has been worse than what has been happening for the last 7 or 8 years.
Sorry you have those kinds of issues to deal with Sharon, that totally sucks. |

Dear friends....so many heavy things to deal with at Christmas time....I will keep you all in my thoughts and hope that all turns out as it should. Sharon...your mom may well have some mental deficit as a result of the toxins in her blood from refusing dialysis....difficult situation.
Jess...alzheimers sucks for everyone but the person who has it....fortunately once they have it that bad, they don't realize it....but still it is hard to have to do the nursing home thing..... Oh Jess, and by the way, I have really missed you around here.
Have a wonderful holiday All....and will see you all after Christmas!!!!
