| We will be thinking of you. And the credit card company should be able to fix everything, it just takes time, we just went through something similar. |

I know that they will fix things. She had 3 letters in one week about use of credit cards. One was with a company which my mom had a zero balance. One was that someone applied for a credit card using her name(thank goodness for this one). The one that most of the charges were on, is the one that I hope that they catch the crook. There were about 15 or more charges to the card.

I don't know how many charges were made to the 2nd card, but this person appears to have done some stupid things, so we are hoping that he/she is caught. My is unhappy about the police report, and I think that she doesn't want to be bothered. If this crime slides by, then there will be more victims.

I am sure everything will work out for you guys. It's hard when a parent is difficult for no reason other than refusing treatment. You guys will prevail as long as you don't listen to her.

Sheryl, I sure did love the quilt and you made it sound simplier than I thouht it would be, may have to have you send me directions for that one. I love 30's and 40'2 and 50's reproductions. If you can believe this, that is one thing my stash doesn't have. Ok, there are a lot of things it doesnt have, small stash but darned thankful for it. Enjoyed your blog too!
I did get 3 pieces of it thanks to a friend yesterday, we are doing an Apron quilt, need to get you gals a picture of it. It is so darned cute.
Bev, dh had the surgery and felt so much better after it was done. Glad your mom got through surgery well, will keep praying for you both.
I vote a blog for you Jess. Can't think of a name for your dear sweet dressform. I really like Tawanda!!!! ok, I really liked Fried Green Tomatoes.
I did sew a couple of aprons Christmas eve for the grands. It felt so good to get to sew for a bit. Yippeee, want some more of that!!!!!

hmm..I thought I posted that..."wow I love the quilt!"
so tonight I made 32 cinnamon rolls(saw the recipe, and started craving, only meant to make 16)....I waited 2 hours for the dough to rise the first time..then another 40 minutes after I added the cinnamon/sugar/raisins to the center.....I killed the yeast!!! I guess I used to hot of water....but maaan..they made the house smell FAb...and despite being a little heavy/tough...they still taste sooo good...they were meant for breakfast....but mom, dad, and I each had 1...ok ok...2 fresh from the oven....so...besides being 1/4th of the size they were supposed to be....they are AWESOME!(but oooooh so bad..I joked about making them so I'd get the insurance money...bwahaha :P) sewng projects...finished a teatowels a few days ago, real cute...and today finished a stuffed donkey....will list them in Etsy in the next few days..tomorrow I've got geometry and hope to make a 50s styled apron for my store(or some small project at least).
Sharon, cyber *hug* to ya...
Carol Sue....I loove fabric of any kind..but repro rocks...says the girl that could spend hundreds...nay thousands at the local quilt shop...on fabric alone(I dont think they'd sell their 30 or so vintage/antique sewing machines..:()
And I WILL post pictures to my blog soooon....

| Well, you all know my thoughts on dogs. This one who has adopted us, turns out to be really well trained! Jeez! And we finally hooked up with the owner who would love for us to have her if we want her. My kids are just dying for a dog, and she has gotten my husband out and walking her everyday. Hmmmm...I never thought of me as a dog owner. The guy who the dog belongs to is gone until Sunday, so we told him we would just keep her on a trial basis and to call us when he gets back and we will let him know. But she is so well trained, how could we say no. She ignores our other animals, stays in the kitchen and back room. Sits and stays and lays on command until told otherwise. Is crate trained for the night. And when the leash comes out, sits next to you and then goes to the back door. She does not beg or ask for table scraps and thinks my kids are so much fun. So now looks like we have a beagle/retriever mix. Well, I am off to give her a bath. Supposedly she is very good in the bath...we shall see how that goes. Oh and her name is Copper. Okay I do like her, just really more of a cat person you know. I cannot believe we are doing this. Now I just have to train her to only do her business in one area of my yard, I have no idea how to do this, but cannot be too much different than a small child, I hope. |

one thing actually that will help on keeping a dog from using the bathroom where you do not want it to..is to sprinkle pepper in the area..they will not go in the area that the pepper has been sprinkled. Also if ever they make a mistake in your house..sprinkle pepper in the spot and they will not go there again.

oohhh...good advice, se I have never had a dog and I know pretty much nothing except that I hate untrained annoying slobbery out of control ones.
Bath time went well, she was fine with all of it, got her out dried her off, and she was good to go, until my daughter walked in and said, "Copper Shake!" and boy did Copper shake. So she knows that command also. Once I got her completely dry and back in the kitchen I said, " Copper Shake" and she did it again, so it was not just a coincidence. Oh for the love of my kids I have a dog now..they have been beggin! Now my son wants me to make her a jacket...hmmm...I will have to think about it, the dog bed is on the slate for tonight! What am I getting myself into? Oh well, we get her dog house once the owner comes to town and we decide if we are keeping her, of course we all know that the decision is already made. |

Welcome to dog world Jess! Sad to say but I love even the untrained slobbery ones! I'm a sucker for those creatures!!! Every time we lose one we all know it HAS to be replaced- I get creeped out without a BIG dog outside scaring the other "things that go bump" in the night away. The value of a trained one- well let me just say a trained one is a treasure! I have two and both are well trained. I have family members that bring their stupid ones to my house and I cant for the life of me figure out why!!!
Blessings, Autumn Farmgirl #49

Of all the dogs I've "pet-sat", my favorite would be a Border Collie, but only if I had the room, landwise, for it to exercise. My hubby would like a Karelian Bear Dog. Yeah, right, only if we lived in the mountains. A dog would have to have purpose for me to own one. Now my cats, LOL, are ornamental and also good bedwarmers. hehehe
Finished 2 polar fleece skirts today. No pics, as they aren't very photogenic being deep grey and dk green basic A-lines with elastic waists. Very utilitarian and perfect for this cold weather.

| yes i love my cat in my bed, especially at the foot, before i crawl in. When I lived in Australia I stayed for a time with a family that had 2 border collies...great dogs, and full of energy. they had to be taken to the beach atleast 2 times a day to run it out. But they were very well behaved dogs and lots of personality. |

Thanks for the wonderful comments about my little circle quilt. I'll send anyone the directions who wants them, and I will write notes where I thought they should have been more specific. The 30s prints are my absolute favorite. I'll have to post a picture of the first one I made using them. I just took every one that I loved and put them into the quilt. And I used my embroidery machine on each of the blocks as I was learning to use that as well. It is a serious sampler quilt that has no ryhme or reason, but I love it. I'll put it on the blog tomorrow!
