Hey.....where were those fairies last week when I only had one hand???? Remember,they originally were MY fairies.....I let them go for a little, and they have travelled all over the country!!!!

Tomorrow I'm gonna get a picture up of the surprise I had in my mail from Stephanie.What a sweet friend!
I'm expecting to see you all tomorrow- you ARE planning a BIG BIRTHDAY party, right??? I mean - it's not like 1000 posts or anything- so I know there will be no 1000 post gifts but I still get the big party-RIGHT????
Yep! Tomorrow is the big 5-0. I am officially half a century old!!!!
(My kids treated me like royalty today,too.)

Should take several days to get there.

I totally understand what y'all are saying about the seniors that give up and develop a negative attitude towards living. My mom is just sitting there waiting to die..It truly is the attitude that counts and keeps our spirit alive.
I'm gonna grow older and older but I will always be the free spirited, free loving bohemian lady. When my time here does come to pass I have requested that Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" be played at a gathering in remembrance of me.

Sharon- I KNEW I was in good company on this birthday!!!
Growing old doesnt frighten me- maybe because I still have kids at home- but anyhow it's ok so far!
I just dont want to be a grumpy old thing. My biggest fear?- not being able to see enough to sew!!!!!
Sharon- I am REALLY gonna get a picture of my lovely apron on here SOON! I am just behind on EVERYTHING!!

This square was b'day gift from my youngest daughter- I told them both I wanted a square for my b'day every year until I could make a quilt from them all.
This is what my oldest daughter made for me- sunglasses pouch and adorable book mark. Aren't they talented????
How could a momma be more blessed? I think my older daughter owes me a quilt square- I'm not letting her off except temporarily.
She does have a 2 yr old to take care of.
