well, you know i don't really expect a gift..actually you all have been very kind to me and i have been laden with gifts from everyone all year. you ladies are so sweet, and i am very glad to have all of you! yep...almost there...now which thread to post my 3000 on...hmmm....as though it really matters.

polar fleece sheets...sounds great. last year at christmas time we went to florida for 2 weeks, it was really great. we had to stop at target and get a beach blanket and towels and such because I forgot to pack them, of course it was after christmas, so I went and got christmas towels and a kingsized fleece blanket for going to the beach...everything was like 90% off, so being the person I am , who cares if you dry yourself off with reindeers ya know..any how my point is, we have had that polarflece blanket on our bed this winter..i got it for 2.99....it is so cozy! My bed is like a really warm sandwich...flannel sheets, fleece blanket, down comforter, another comforter, then my quilt..add my husband to the mix and it one cozy dreamy bed. I am all for fleece sheets bonne!

Okay drumroll please...here it is ...thanks for the cheerleading Autumn!

My 3000 post, I love it here on the farm and I am glad we are all hanging out here sharing our lives with each other. I am sewing up a quilt top today for my 5 year olds classroom, cute..the kids will decorate all the squares and they will auction it off at the fundraiser.

It is snowing and raining outside, so here I am sewing up a storm...hmmm....bonne...I need a wood stove...can you believe my ouse does not have afireplace? how on earth did they stay warm in 1874?

O.K. I would like a drum roll too! I received a call from the detective on my cell phone last Friday, but I had the phone turned off because my brothers kept calling me on the phone and I was running on overtime with the minutes. So.....all weekend, all I could think about was today. I was told to call back today and he had something to say. It is GOOD NEWS LADIES! I can do a happy dance, but we still have to continue watching everything.

WOO!HOO!Jess!!!
You are such a sweet heart! You are ALWAYS making something for someone ELSE!!!
SHARON-Good news!!! YAY!!!! So happy things are better for you!

Something is wrong with you not having a fire/woodstove,Jess! Youre in cold country!! I have one and Im in the tropics!!!
We got it after Hurricane Rita-lots of wood to burn too. Propane is 3-4 bucks a gallon. Bonne is right-that pipe cost over $1000. the stove was only about $500-600.
I love my "free" heat.!

We don't use our fireplace, and wished that I could loan one out to you Jess. Our relatives had a heat burning stove, which was their only source of heat. The heat moved through the house like a heater would.

Autumn, I am so happy. I was to go see my mom today, but dh is still at home. I still have to fax things today, but it requires the scanner which is hooked up the computer that dh is using. I am also to call the detective back this afternoon, and I guess that dh won't go in to work until his meeting in another hour. I have to get things from my mom's house to take to the nursing home too. It means limited time to visit with my mom. I want to give her the good news.

I love the quilt idea, Jessica.
Years ago, my sister used to hand out muslin squares to her students(elementary) to decorate with
permanent markers. She'd then make a skirt out of the blocks. The kids loved it when she'd wear it to school.

She used a very simple elastic waist skirt pattern that came to just around knee length. THAT was long for the times (70's) LOL, but being that she was a teacher, had to be more conservative.
I got a couple of her older ones, since she'd do it every year, and I'd wear them to high school. (a bit shortened since I needed to be cool) and used to get so many good comments.

That skirt idea is excellent!! My students would love it. Hey, maybe I could have them write poems on one. Cool! I posted a picture of the winter quilt top we swapped here at MJF.

Thanks Jess. OMG I cannot believe you don't have a woodstove!! We use ours every single night from fall through spring. We get wood from construction jobs and my husband gets trees from jobs he does as a landscaper too, so we don't have to pay for it. Otherwise, that is expensive.

yes it is so expensive..i need a woodstove badly...and i refuse to put new windows in my house so we are not a very efficient home...i just love these old windows. i dont get it, there really should be one here in this house. i think when we finally put out addition on this summer or next summer it will have to have something of the sort..i need a cozy spot!

Every night, after my bath, I lie on my couch by the woodstove and keep really warm!! It is so relaxing, I recommend it.

That's because we are tired of giving all our $$ to the energy company and want more available
for our retirement years! ROFL!! Just another step towards independence. You'll be surprised at how much scrap wood you can find when you have a need for it.

I wish I was able to enjoy my 30s more! There was just so much stress and stuff to do all the time. Not to mention I still sometimes worried about what other people thought about me and my actions. That is something I am happy I let go. Now I do not give a rat's ### what anyone says! HA!
