Wonderful thoughtful gift, Jessica.

LOL @ Bev!! No, I don't need an industrial strength machine in my sweat shop. In fact, these vintage ones I do have are tough as nails. That Consew you could probably sew tack on. Or at least repair your tack if you were so minded. There's got to be a walking foot for it. See if you can obtain an owners manual. http://www.sewingmanuals.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Consew.htm

http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Threading_Diagrams.htm

I don't know what you pd for it, but I've not seen any industrial machines on Craig's List around here going for less than $500. You may just want to unload it.

Bee Haven -Bev I saw on your blog you wanted a lesson on the ruffler attachment so here is a sit that might be helpful http://www.vintagesewing.info/1920s/26-fcm/fcm-07.html I hope I did that right.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I feel refreshed now, that is what this thread does for me. Just feels like home.

Laughing, a freind of mine has a industrail and had me do a couple of strips on it. Geez louise, that puppy was fast, scary fast for this girl. And it was a tank, green like yours bev, but man it could do anything. When you get brave, go or it, just watch those fingers.
If a machine drives you crazy, get an older one. They tend to be tanks and last a long time. I am enjoying the Pfaff my mom shipped to me via my brother. IT is a Pfaff 360. I do have to find some bobbins for it cause it only came with one, that and find out if there are any attachements out there. I do like how it sews.

Jess, what a wonderful idea for your Dad, sweet girl, helps them particapate and be there for grandpa. Hugs girl.

I am still sewing my minis, gotta get done soon......hey at least they are aprons!!!!!!! lol

I am so excited.....Thursday AM I am taking a private quilt class at the shop where hubby bought my quilt machine. They are gonna teach me all the tricks to using it....so after that I will be quilting my nine patch (that I am finishing today....patches are done and 3/4 assembled) I must say, it is nothing artistic at all...just nine patch...no design...but one of the kids will enjoy it for a beach or picnic quilt. It was good practice, though. Next project will be something with aesthetic value.

First, though I gotta keep working on the goat website....gotta get it up and running before babies are born.

Tons of work left to do...as you will see....

LOL!!! The fainting goat opening pic!! Those little dears!!
Great page, Bev!

Good luck in the quilting class. I leave quilting to my sister~she's much more geared to it.
Be sure to chat up embroidery machines at the class~you might come home with one! heehee

Jessica, I took some pictures of the embroidered squares. This is going to take a while to get this quilt finished. I am waiting on the birth, so I know what name to put on the quilt. I have ladybug alphabet that I want to use.

You are too funny there Jessica. I have one more to make after this one. I figured that if I made a quilt for one, then I should make for the other one coming next month.

I am still paying dh back for the embroidery machine. I haven't had a chance to use it much, because of making the aprons. If you ever do get an embroidery machine, embroidery library has some pretty good sales.
