Hello! I'm Montana Gal, but to be honest, I'm a born and bred Virginian. After grad school and 15 years in New York, I relocated to Big Sky country and couldn't be happier. But lest y'all think I'm a city slicker, my dad was a cattle breeder, so I learned everything about farming from him. I'm a writer/editor and just bought a little piece of heaven where I hope to do a little organic gardening and live happily ever after. I've had the good fortune of meeting with--and working with--MaryJane, who is an inspiration to us all. Montana Gal

Welcome Sally. What brought you to MOntana? Who/what do you write/edit for? There is a great pub in Bozeman that makes the best French onion soup. Wish I could remember the name, oh well. How big is your little piece of heaven? We live in town on a double lot,but hope some day for some land, which is hard to come by here. Anyway, welcome again! See you around the forum. Simply, Julia

Hi Julia and Clare, thanks for the welcome! As for what drew me to Montana, well....lack of humidity, sunsets, cold weather and the great outdoors. I've meet wonderful women, here...it's great. I'm a food/lifestyle writer for Bon Appetit, Vegetarian Times, Mary Englebreit's Home Companion, Country Home, More and several other publications. I look forward to "meeting" all of you and learning more about farming and country life through the eyes of fabulous women.--Montana Gal

Well, you're in the right place for cold weather! Better knit up some warm socks. Next to MJ's magazine, Mary Englebreit's is my next favorite, must be somethinig in the name.
