Last sunday I was flipping thru the channels on our tv, and when I got to RFD tv, I found a story about a shop in College Station Tex., and it absolutely blew me away --

The store is called Junk Gypsy's, and they have a website, www.gypsyville.com -- let me tell you -- there are some really great shirts, some wonderful bracelets..belts..a necklace or two...

If you get a chance, check it out. I was drooling at some of their things for nearly an hour.

Now all I have to do is convince Tom that some of the jewlery (sp) has to come home to Me!! LOL

** Nancy ** I almost felt like an antique...every time I looked at something different, it had something like "Back To The 70's" kinda title on it...or Retro Hippie..as if some of us are in hiding under the Witness Protection Program, and don't want it to be discovered that we Were hippies!! Yikes!!

But there are some great pieces on their site!!

I've been there. The place is amazing. Very expensive. Very cool stuff tho! Rock & Roll meets Hillbilly. I love it.

Dawn, you are so right! The site is kinda like a rock an' roll party, that stopped over in the Hills for a Spell...

I love the bracelets, but just can't afford 'em right now...I did order some similar types from another "hippie" online store, so I'm still in my groove!!

Tom sez I should get the little vw bug they got onsale..but I said I wanted the real thing!! LOL!!

Love that site and that stuff. I dressed a bit like that in the mid to late 70s and even into the 80s. Ok, and a bit in the 90's too. And if it was in my size probably now too. I love that style. Thanks for sharing that site!

I love the cowgirl stuff and I may have to try and make some of that bottlecap art with the arrows...great ideas too cuz I can't afford most of it! I love the fact that they utilize "junk"...I really admire that! thanks for telling us about it.

~~ ~~ The site is just so darn cool, even if ya don't buy anything from them - There is a real energy with them, and it just makes me feel like it's ok to dress just a little different from the Mall/Shopping Style.

I'm sewing my 2nd peasant blouse, and have another pattern that I'm looking at fabric to make..The fact that Junk Gypsy uses all the Used Stuff..whoa!! ~~ Right up my alley!! I'm reusing lots of my flower pots...using some left over fabric scraps ...

And I just found some old glass beads!! -- Man - O - Man..my heads spinning right now!!
