I went in the other day to get my hair cut and I have this certain style I've always liked. The girls who cut it always tell me that it is way out dated and that it is so "80s". When I went in this last time the girl got all done cutting my hair and then started styling it for me (I go home and wash all the gunk out and style it my own way, but I figure I'll let them give it a shot ;)) So she gets all done styling it (it looked almost the same as when I do it at home only mine isnt quite so HIGH. She tells me that BIG hair is so much fun and she wishes she had big hair again.......
BIG HAIR??? Never in the last ten years that I've been wearing my hair this way, did I ever ever think of it as BIG HAIR!!
Who knows, maybe it will start a new 80s trends again...hehe
Anyone else seeing signs of the 80s making a comeback? (Besides the toys and leggings..lol)

Oh gosh,

I used to have big hair! I was such a Rocker Chick w/the leather, minis, fishnets and spike heels. What was I thinking?

I'd love to see a picture too!

I lived a good portion of my life in the southern region, I love big hair! My hairdresser 'bout has a fit cause I keep asking him to "make it bigger, pretend I live in Dallas and make it big!"

I don't have to go to a stylist to get big hair. I have long and VERY naturally curly hair. Whenever it's raining or humid my hair gets big all on its own!

I never go trendy with hair or clothes. Stick with a classic look that you like and can style. That is always "in"!

AMEN Tracy!!! You can still find big hair down here. I think it is awesome though the cost of the air quality from all the Aquanet is questionable. I told hubby I was going to grow my long and start doing big curlers and even bigger hair!!! : )

Oh No! Not Aqua Net! Flashbacks :)

My husband was working on his ATV and picked up some Aqua Net hairspray when we popped in Wal-Mart. He said that it works great on gluing handlebar grips on bikes, atv's etc. I made sure that I wasn't with him when he checked out

Ahh, love me some Aqua Net! I loved the 'big hair'. Hubby and I were watching VH1 classics and they were showing 80's hair bands on there. I showed him one artist and told him my hair used to look like that. He grinned and told me to fix it like that again. And I just might!

OK, so when Sharon & I meet this summer (going to CO for vacation), we can sit and talk about how we're old enough to be yo' mama....
Actually, I LOVED the 80's. Loved the music, mostly, but I have such fond memories from '87 that will last me a lifetime. I didn't have big hair, however, and am waiting patiently for a pic, Jessie!

I agree with Chelsey, your Facebook pic has normal hair...now we must see your BIG 'do!

My best friend loves big hair. We always joke about it. We are both 28-29, so we weren't really "of age" to have big hair in the 80s, but she is rockin' it now! And, she really likes the big hair music from that time, too. For my wedding, she requested that the stylist do her hair like Julia Robert's wedding hair in Steel Magnolia's, only bigger.

I think Leslie and Sharon should put up some pics of them in high school!
