Fallon Fischer (Young Cultivator of Christine Kenney, bellepic, #8680) has received a certificate of achievement in Out There Kids for earning an Expert level I Am a Survivor badge!
"We ID'ed and sampled a lot of plants in the park. Fallon ID'ed 5 of her favorites without any help. We also learned a lot more about their medicinal, textile, and dye uses which was beyond the scope of the foraging book.
After returning home, we got back to work learning how to start fires with ferro rods if we end up using all our matches.

"I got on my tablet and read the book "Milton Hershey - A Children's Biography".
He was a good man. He and his wife built a orphanage school. He opened a lot of stores, but no one went to his stores. He tried multiple times, then he tried one more time, and it worked. He made the Hershey Kisses and his company grew and grew."

I learned that Milton created the best chocolate in the world. He was not successful at first, but he would not give up. He treated his workers very nicely. His factory is still in Pennsylvania."

"My mother taught me how to sew a button on a piece of fabric.
It turned out great. I used a blue and white fabric. Then I sewed 2 buttons on the fabric. I really liked learning to sew."

"My grandpa gave me a camera for Christmas. It prints the pictures right from the camera. I took my camera with us camping and took a lot of pictures on it.
I took 17 pictures and grabbed 5 objects to add to my scrapbook."

"I took all my pictures and objects and got all the supplies I needed for it. I picked out a purple floral binder, page protectors, four papers, glue, and pens.
I put everything together. It looks amazing! I really enjoy doing this badge it was one of my favorites!"

"I was blindfolded and I ate chocolate. I guessed all the chocolates right.
I tried all three chocolates. I hated the dark chocolate, but I loved the white chocolate. The recipe I picked out was cookie dough bars."

"I had a blind fold around my head and I could not see. Then my mother gave three chocolates to me. Then I ate each chocolate and told my mother what each chocolate was. It was dark ,light, and milk. I chose the French silk brownie's as my recipe.
I had so much fun because I ate chocolate. My favorite chocolate is dark chocolate."
