Fallon Fischer (Young Cultivator of Christine Kenney, bellepic, #8680) has received a certificate of achievement in Each Other for earning a Beginner level Community Service Badge!
"Fallon and her scout friends set up a booth to design cards at a local farmer’s market with stationery donated from a buy nothing post. They created over 75 cards. Braving the rain on the day before Christmas, they passed these cards out at the town Senior Center during the lunch provided by Meals on Wheels.
This is the troop’s second year doing this service project. Everyone felt a lot more confident approaching shoppers in the farmer’s market and inviting them to design cards and also delivering the cards to seniors. Fallon even set up a "booth" at the end of the driveway to see if she could get a few more completed. Another scout’s abuelo who was retired and looking to practice conversational English decided to stay for the lunch, so he may help us find even more opportunities to visit."

Fallon Fischer (Young Cultivator of Christine Kenney, bellepic, #8680) has received a certificate of achievement in Each Other for earning a Beginner level Families Forever Badge!
"Over the holiday break, Fallon unwrapped Battleship and played several games with her dad. As a family, we played two rounds of a consumable game (Exit the Game - Meanstone Manor and Caper at Candy Castle).
While we wished we didn't have to cut up materials for Exit the Game so that we could play them again, we found we needed everyone's unique perspective to solve the puzzles. Afterwards, Fallon prototyped her own version of this type of escape room board game out of leftover cardboard boxes.
Battleship taught a lot of skills that will help with upcoming graphing lessons in math. This also provided opportunities to work on being a gracious loser in order to keep playing partners for future games."

Fallon Fischer (Young Cultivator of Christine Kenney, bellepic, #8680) has received a certificate of achievement in Farm Kitchen for earning a Beginner level Mmm Chocolate Badge!
"Over the past year, we have read all three chocolate books listed! Prior to joining the sisterhood, we even visited a chocolate plantation on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.
https://steamstead.blogspot.com/2026/01/carpe-cocoa-mmmm-chocolate.html
Fallon's favorite was No Monkeys, No Chocolate because it had a funny, repetitive title and could be read independently in the back seat of the car. Mom's favorite was Markle's Smart About book because it could be read in one snack sitting and summarized the main points from the Coe's book about chocolate for grown ups. Burleigh's book was the burliest with text-heavy pages that required reading in installments, but we agreed that it had the most realistic and interesting pictures."

Fallon Fischer (Young Cultivator of Christine Kenney, bellepic, #8680) has received a certificate of achievement in Farm Kitchen for earning an Intermediate level Mmm Chocolate Badge!
"We had a Ghirardelli flight which we hid in plastic eggs to blind taste test.

We both liked 60% Cacao. Fallon had to spit out 100% cacao. Mommy wanted to spit out white chocolate but that tied for first place with Fallon. Strangely, Fallon preferred 60% to semi-sweet despite its 2 grams less sugar. We studied the labels and discovered they have 9-7-5-0 grams of sugar per serving respectively."

Fallon Fischer (Young Cultivator of Christine Kenney, bellepic, #8680) has received a certificate of achievement in Farm Kitchen for earning an Expert level Mmm Chocolate Badge!
"Fallon found a way to make our Banana Emergencies more palatable!
Every few months, we have a "banana emergency" when several racks of bananas in ripen in the yard and our little family of 3 has to figure out how to eat/freeze/donate several hundred pounds of bananas in short order.
We found the smaller sized banana variety is perfect for sticking a popsicle stick in, freezing, and then dipping in tempered chocolate and refreezing.
Chocolate covered bananas now hold the same space in our afternoon routine as tea time.
We have read and watched all the Chocolate Factory books and movies with our budding Wonka. Before joining the sisters, she independently chose a Wonka theme for her fifth birthday party.

"We purchased a plain blue Daisy Girl Scout smock uniform.
Over the past 2 years, Fallon decorated it with merit badges she earned, sticky s'mores, and a fair amount of acrylic paint which was a laundry learning adventure for both young cultivator and mentoring sister!"

"Fallon shared her favorite memories of scouting adventures commemorated on her tunic as she bridged to the next (brownie) level of scouting.
This event was held at a Build a Bear outlet so she left with a stuffy with its own smock and brown vest. She has fully briefed "Sunday" the stuffy on everything it takes to be a scout."

"Mentoring sister delegated this craft to Fashion Camp in the run up to Thanksgiving weekend. Fallon chose a cute turkey apron design and used it to help prepare Thanksgiving dishes at home, at granny's "NewThanksChristmas" combined holiday event, and at a Black Friday cooking camp at Chef School.
We found using a toggle stopper/cord lock on the ribbon was more effective for keeping the half apron put during long cooking sessions. We also discovered the material in the ribbon was too delicate to go through the top loader and that felt turkeys can lose legs and eyes in a top loading washing machine even if it is running on delicate. Fortunately, Fashion Camp could patch it up.
Also pictured: purple candy corn purse also stitched at Fashion Camp. Perfect for holding $2 of snack budget at future camps."
