Yoder is 99 miles from me, from Rock it would be 75 miles, and from Council Grove it would be 108 miles.

Count me in for "Scattered Prairie Girls"

I would love to get with you, Connie, Linda, and whoever else. Mulvane would be okay. Linda, Yoder is northwest of Wichita (about an hour from Wichita and about an hour and half from my house. Love the Carriage Crossing Restaurant. There are some neat shops there, also, like a fabric/quilt shop. It would make a fun Saturday trip. I know the area somewhat. My husband has a sister and brother who live in Hutchinson. His parents lived there for a few years before they passed away. I think I like "Gals" better than "Girls" but I will accept "Girls". Good night! I am tired. I helped move my youngest daughter to a new apartment in Wichita tonight.

A thought? Once a name is official? We could make our own T-shirts? Do our own with fabric paints, have our own done at a t-shirt or print shop? Have what we want on the front-things that reflect farm life, or our areas, pics, stenciling, whatever your creative minds can come up with?! Then our chapter name and number stenciled or printed on back? What do you think? Have a great day!

Ok ladies, here is some info for you on the 'farmgirls on the loose' Little House trip. Check out www.farmgirlsontheloose.blogspot.com for all detailed info. They will be doing a trip into Kansas City, Mo. on June 14, 15, 16. In Independence, Ks on June 16, 17 and Mansfield Mo. June 17, 18. I think they need RSVP by May 1st. I thought they were also going to Desmet, SD? as well Viola, know you are in SD. If anyone wants to join the trip, or join them for a day, all farmgirls welcome. I hope I might join for one of the days, but like I said I may be on the west coast while they do this. Check it out ladies, it would probably be awesome even for a day visit!! Looking like 'Scattered Prairie Gals' we will be??!! Have a great evening!

Hello my dear friends!!! Computer blue out on us Sat morning. Couldn't take it in until Monday and just got it back. Man oh Man have I had withdraws. And I have missed taking with you all. Of course with DH not working we really shouldn't have put out the money for the computer repair. But we decided that is really our only entertainment right now. Scattered Prairie Girls sounds great to me!! You've got my vote. Ran all day taking mom to dr.s again. They want to send her for several more test and I told them it would have to wait until I get my back done. If it was something really important I woundn't put it off. But she's be ok until later. I have to go to dentist tomorrow and get some work done before surgery. I HATE going to the dentist. I know I'll need shots and they scare me to death. But I guess the small amount of time it takes to get shots and numbing starts, I'll be able to handle it.I'm just a big baby. Girls if any of you have sent me a email, give me some time to get back. I had over 400 emails when I got on today. YIKS!!! Better go and see how many I can get through. Have a good evening.
Blessings, Brenda

Lillian you are already part of this. It doesn't matter where we live, it's what we share. And I think we are getting a great group of girls signing up. We'll find all kinds of fun things to do right here on this site or the henhouse. And don't forget the scrapbook~ Sisters, Brenda

By the way, friends and family usually call me Kathy instead of Katherine. I usually use Katherine for official things.

Linda, I like the t-shirt idea.

Brenda, tell me again what things I should/can include on my scrapbook page. I know it can include things that tell about me or represent me. Do you want the pages to be flat or can we use things that my stick up a little like stick on flowers, etc.?

Kathy, you can put anything you want on the page. I made a scrapbook for my oldest grandson when he graduated from High School. Started from birth to gradutation. I had alot of bulky pages. But I turned out great. You should have seen all his class mates going through it. It made me feel good that they all enjoyed it so much. So I can work with whatever you all send me. This is going to be fun!!!! You might want to take some pictures of your area that you live. Your family? They will all be different and that makes it even more interesting.
If there's any other questions be sure and let me know.

I just thought of a family story. Last night when I told my husband I needed to think about what my favorite farmgirl item or animal, he reminded me of this story. When we were first married, one day we were talking about our childhoods. For the life of me, I could not come up with "plucking chickens" or "dressing chickens" so I said "defeathering chickens". He has not let me forget that. Last night, he says, "You mean like defeathering chickens."

Oh Katherine, you make me lol!! We may have to add "defeathering chickens" to our farmgirl vocabulary!! It's funny no matter what we say or what we call something, We all seem to understand!!

I'm glad you enjoyed my story. My school is out for Good Friday, today, so I am home. My day was made when I went to the mailbox. My sisterhood number, badge, and the MaryJane book bundle came. I was trying to get some our of "piles" cleaned up but I am ready to sit and read.

I'm still thinking about my favorite farmgirl item or animal.

Kathy, that story was awesome! Lol! The reason I have asked? My daughter is going to make each of us our own farmgirl name badge! I am not sure a pic of 'defeathering chickens' would look so good! Lol! Have a good nite ladies! Linda
