So I've been bitten by the farm animal bug but the city rules are that ya have to have 5 acres min to keep a goat or sheep . I'm hoping to maybe get an angora rabbit then to learn to spin natural fibers to knit with. I'd rather have a mini sheep, but I don't know if there is such a thing, so I thought I would get some thoughts from you gals on what animal to get if I'm interested in getting into natural fibers. Any thoughts?

I've heard of people raising texel guinea pigs for fiber. They're so cute. Angora bunnies are too.

Your biggest bang for the buck and city rules is a German Angora Rabbit. You get about $6.00 to $8.00 per ounce on their fiber and they produce the largest quanity of fiber per fiber bunny.

Hope that helps
