Hi Najia, You wouldn't be able to smell the Tacoma Aroma now, they fixed that problem! I live close to Wapato Park on 72nd St. IF they hadn't fixed the smell I would still live out towards Graham too! LOL!!

I love Wapato Park!! Do they still have all of the geese? My husband's aunt lives off of 72nd...but she is in Lakewood. When we left, Lakewood was going downhill. Has it improved at all? I am going to end up picking your brain since we may be returning to Ft. Lewis. DH's family would have us move next door if they could so I would value someone's unbiased input. lol

HI Ann , I know what you mean~ I really think it's time to retire and customize a trailer and meet up with the Ladies on the Fly. I'm from Arlington Wa, we are almost neighbors. We named our chapter "NW Country Angels" I cant wait to try the chillover, did you get a chance to try yours? Take Care and have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Hi, Ann. What part of Texas? I was born in Germany, raised in El Paso, moved to CA after high school and ended up in WA, which I really like. So tired of living in deserts. I needed colors other than brown and seasons. Snow coming this week, so I guess I'll be seeing white.

Hi Ladies, thank you all for the posts! and Laura, I was born in Denton, my mom lives in a little place called Matador, the rest of my family is scattered all over the state. I find the very thought of living without tree's a nightmare! It may be rainy and cool here a lot, but it's my kind of place. Where is Elk, is that up near Mt Rainier? I would love to find some more farmgirls in the area. Lisa, I've been a little low so haven't used my chillover yet, but the berries are in the freezer so one of these weekends when I get a second wind!

Welcome Ann!
Count me in as yet another east coast/west coast -- midwest -- settled in WA farmgirl, who loves the trees and seasons.
Hope you connect up with all the Tacoma gals--I'm on the east side of the state, Spokane area.
Have fun Marianne |

Welcome, Ann, from Oregon; in fact I live just over the hills from Coos Bay and visit Bandon, Charleston, and Coos Bay as often as we can. The Bay area is home to some of my favorite antique stores.
