Thank you for the cards that you have sent Christy & Colleen. Christy left us a message that I would like to share with you.

"I had my last chemo of this round today. Will be two months into this thing at the end of April. Everyone who reads this I encourage you to hug your kids and tell them you think they are amazing and you are proud of who they are, not what they do. Then go hug your husband and give him a kiss you would have when you were dating. Housework and projects don't mean much, relationships are lasting and this is how we leave our legacy.

And if you have never contemplated a relationship with God, ask him some questions, He knows so much more than we do."

One wise woman, she is.

I guess this is normal for some, but Christy's red blood cells have been depleted, so she is very anemic, and has been going in for blood transfusions. She tries to be positive, Jeromy is a big help, but being extremely tired, I know this is hard. Please just remember her with a little prayer now and then. There are so many to pray for. Thank you!

Lifting them both (all the family too) in prayer. This is so hard for everyone, the one dealing with treatment, the ones watching and feeling helpless - oh my - so many prayers needed! I will add her to our prayer list in Sunday School tomorrow!
Hugs and prayers,
Ruth

Thank you so much ladies. These problems can soon be forgotten by those whom are not affected, but constantly with the one who is. I so appreciate your prayers for Christy and Colleen, and I know that God looks lovingly on you all knowing that the scripture "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35) is truly fulfilled. To pray for people you don't even know is wonderful.

A note today from Christy to us all....

I want to be normal. Chemo robs me of this. My brain wants to garden and shop and so much more but my body says these drugs are very powerful and killing off so much of the good things in your body. I did weight lifting with Danny and Jeromy Tuesday (really light stuff) and then I weeded. It left me exhausted Wednesday. My body has a tough time recovering from the fatigue. Please pray for me, I am only one point away from needing another transfusion and i still have 8 more Taxol treatments. I am so greatful that I am as far as I am into this process. I can begin to see the finish line instead of needing to cover my head because I am so overwhelmed with feeling ill. Thank you to everyone who has loved my family and me and offered encouraging words and practical help. I could never fight cancer alone. I love you all.

Well, we're just all going to continue to pray her through this. Gentle, warm hugs to her. Keep us posted. Joey
