I am not surprised he felt the positive energy of your place. Think of all the years of your energy spent to build it! I feel the good energy in your posts and I can only imagine what your land and home feel like. I'm glad God sent the deer for you to reflect on some of the blessings you have been provided. God is good. I am sending you love and light and prayers in your name. Connie

Oh Grace - what a lovely gift was bestowed on you both yesterday with the energy connection with the roofer and today with the sighting of the deer. Through that connection, you were able to see the important part of yourself. We are our own best teachers when we share our hearts and care with others and by sharing your passion for your farm, your art even through all your pain and frustration, you were allowed to see who you are and why you are still there. I believe each of us is given a piece of energy to hold in the places we live to balance out all the negative, weirdness that goes on in this world and the choice God gives us is whether we go through with it or whether we turn our back on it. Going through with it is never easy because much is asked of us on this journey. The blessings of grace - those moments that fill us with awe and wonder - those are the gifts, the moments of clarity when we receive the answers we are looking for if we are paying attention and listening. Blessings heaped on blessings - abundance, that is the promise. Sometimes we forget to "see" with our hearts instead of our heads. I know that you will be more than "just fine" - you already are an amazing teacher not just of your craft but of how to be in love with life no matter how many difficulties may be put in ones path. I stand in awe of your path and I know you will find the answers once you find the quiet space to just listen.
Blessings, Sheri

Dear Grace, I haven't been on the forum for a few days and just got your post. I am sending prayers and wishes for strength. I know the saying is that God doesn't send us more then we can deal with, but I will say this..God has OFTEN sent me more than I can deal with, but He has also ALWAYS sent me the people I needed to deal with it. I have spent a lifetime putting everyone else first and I have been in a position when I thought I just couldn't go on for another day. Sometimes it was another 10 mins. at a time. It was a long time ago. Hang on. It helped me to write down 3 things everyday that I was grateful for (and sometimes it was just that the day was over.) Not that it matters, but research shows that tears carry toxins from the body so crying is good and you feel however you feel. People here care about you and we are here to support you. Remember the saying about "Footsteps" and God carrying you? I believe that is true. GOD supports us daily. A plan to read through the Bible hepled me especially the book of Job and Psalms. You are definately not alone. We are here praying for you. Joey

Dear Joey and Sheri - Your words bring me comfort and strength. I had to read the words that all the ladies have sent me - Last night was another night of sorrow and panic. I spent time work with fiber hopeing to calm the spirit but lifes heavy burdens got the better of me. I know that there has to come a change very soon because I really can not continue with this level of stress... I have handled many heavy burdens for so long that I just feel like I am at my end. I know to give thanks for every small thing so I do not understand why I can not find some peace instead of all this fear...
I thank you all and will read your posts again.

Good Morning Grace, we are here and we are not going anywhere. I was just wondering if the roofer who felt such peace at your farm and with you will be doing your roof? Seems the both of you were suppose to meet, God's plan. I continue to pray that all will be well. Grace you have got to eat, you are going to make yourself sick, you have your babies who depend on you. You are loved Grace by all your beautiful animals, family, farmgirls we/they need you, what would we/they do without you? You need them/us as they/we need you, do not give up Dear Grace please. It is a new day, celebrate and know that you are not alone, it will all work out the way it is suppose too. Farmgirl Hugs, Debbie

Sweet Grace - you made it through the night. We are given those "dark nights of the soul" for a reason. They touch us in ways other experiences can not. I think sorrow is one of the most intense emotions and experiences that as humans we experience. It is a pit of darkness that envelopes our vision and racks us with pain. But the sorrow we feel is for ourselves. It is not for those we have lost or even for situations that we can mourn either. Mourning in a way is like the big "Why me, God?" and the answer is always "Why not you?" Mourning pain can bring up anger at God. "Why are You doing this to me?" or more likely "What did I do to deserve this?" These are the parts of ourselves that keep us from the ultimate trust. They have great purpose because they make us look at the dark places and allow us to shed light on them. God is light. A light heart is what we all seek. To get there you must look at the sorrow and heal it. This happens slowly, one experience at a time. I know that you feel like you are suffocating right now but it will pass as you begin to "see" with your heart and intuition by letting go of the need to control every aspect of everything. God will not let you fall but will do what ever it takes to get your attention where it needs to be. Perhaps it needs to be more on "Grace the woman" instead of "Grace the business woman". I am here for you. I know where you are and I am sending you light and energy. I am praying that you will find your "light at the end of the tunnel". When you do (and you will) oh my - what a light will shine my friend.
Blessings, Sheri

Dear Grace. Cling to the love that He has for you. All else is the enemy of our soul trying to make us feel that we are unworthy of love, care and provision. This promise is straight from God. He is not angry with us and this is a promise to never get angry with us again. So you are entitled to love a light heart and all your father's blessings. God bless you and keep you and make his face to shine upon you and give you peace.
Isa 54:8 In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you, says Jehovah your Redeemer. Isa 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn from being angry with you and from rebuking you. Isa 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says Jehovah who has mercy on you.

well my friend, i am sad for you. i sure know about how hard it can get. i think the time is approaching when groups will live together. by folks combining knowledge and energy, helping each other, loving each other we can make it. for me i try to remember it HAS TO PASS. these are scary times. i have NO idea what we will do this winter. bible prophecy talks about critical times hard to deal with. people will be lovers of themselves and material things. He does say it will last a short time. then he will make all things new. we will have a chance to live on earth perfectly lovingly happily. i cling to that hope. the Bible says He did not create the earth for nothing. He created it to be a home for man. The promise is the meek will inherit the earth. For now we are in for a hard ride. i so wish you were closer to us. we could help each other i know you are out in the boonies but could you rent a room out? board some one elses stock? sorry your sales are down. i am going to carry you in my heart today. when i am saying a prayer i will include you my friend. i think for me it is also the unknown that scares the dickens out of me. turning it over to God can be difficult for those of us that like the driver seat. so sending hugs and love to you today. sherrye

In another year or so I will be living on Social Security. I have revamped the other half of the house so I could rent it but the lady who has been there for the last year has no income and is trying to get SSI. So far no success. I certainly could not throw her out in the cold. So hopefully by the time winter gets here again she will be able to help out. But we two females are banded together to get along. Maybe there is someone out there in need like she was with some SSI of SS coming in, not enough to live on but enough to give to you for a place to stay out of the cold???

Dear Grace, You have been on my heart and I will continue to pray for you as are others. We are all here for you, holding you up in prayer and support. I tell my daughter often that it is easy to trust and thank God when things are going well. It is much harder sometimes to trust God when things are difficult, and you dread the light of day, but that is when He wants to show us the way. He wants us to lean on Him. He has a plan for your life and He will not fail you. I loved what Sheri said. She said it so much better than I can. Just know that God, the same God who feeds the birds of the air, is aware of you and what you need and He will provide for you. One of my favorite passages of the Bible is Matt.6:25-34. I read that often, especially when I am afraid. I also think of the passage "Be still and know that I am God." It is hard for me to be still and this calms me because, of course, God is in control. He has a plan for you and will not fail you. (yes, I said it twice. I think it bears repeating.)Until your way becomes clear, please know that we are sending you big, deep, strong farmgirl hugs and energy to just keep going, and surrounding you with light and love and prayer. Happy 4th Ladies - could I ask for just a bit more help. I have narrowed down the roofers and contractors to but my house back together to three and I will be praying for guidance on them because they are very similar and so I think it is down to a gut feeling but my gut has been in such knots I really can not tell what is going on...
Many thanks in advance.
I would like to send personal emails to you all and will do so very soon but the thunder clouds are forming so the computer needs to be shut down.
Connie - no worries about the yarn it is still here...
Again, many thanks for all your support, prayers and great words of faith...

Grace, for some reason today while I was on the computer I had this feeling that I should check MaryJane out since I haven't been on in months and it took me right to your page. I'm sure praying for you farmgirl! Trust in God that everything will work out. I'm reminded of this poem that has always helped me when things are looking bad.......
Footprints in the Sand One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?" The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you." Mary Stevenson

Two storms have kept me from the computer but I am hopeing now to get caught up. Hannah I thank you for the wonderful saying - I had it somewhere in the house but it has hidden itself so I thank you again for giving back to me...
Joey I thank you so much for your sweet words and prayers. Today I went with the company that was so kind when he first arrived. He brought out the woodworker who will be putting in the new windows and doors. I also walked them into the pasture with the barn mess and they where able to put a plan together that will get this monster out and without the mess and cost that was quoted from others. I know you must think me strange but I watched my LLama Boy who does not trust most folks and he walked right up to these men and blew softly on them (greetings from a llama)and then the bottle kids came a running and wanting them to pick them up and hug them. Another trust, last but not least my Great Pry's did not try to eat them - BIG DEAL HERE!!! So after I knew the numbers would work, checked their references and BBB I signed the contract.. A step forword without panic.
I think it is because I have felt your loving prayers and support around me. I do not knot if any of you have read this book but I brought it home from the library - "One month to live - 20 days to a no-regrets life". It called to me when I was walking around and once I got it home I was amazed... Things I have said for years but not fully trusted where being said thru the headphones. It was as if this book was reading my mind - what Grace and timing... I am working the principles and lessons and have already felt some lighter thoughts and heart...
I again wish to thank all of you wonderful ladies who have given me words of wisdom, support and farm girl sisterhood... I passed along to a stranger while in the library MJ's Site when she looked so lost in the cooking/gardening section. She has no support for the changes she wants to make in her life - sounds like a new sister in the makeing.
I send to you all my heart, my prayers and my friendship. Blessings and Hugs.

Grace isn't it amazing that an animal can know good from bad so quickly? to have that many animlas come greet & interact with the men made me smile as I have always trusted the animals I have had to know if someone is safe or not.....& to get the contract signed....GOOD for you girl!!! I bet you felt wonderful to know something was finally on its way to getting started......Debbie (colorado) has been a good friend to me & let me know you were having a hard time mentally right now but I can see that even though you go back a step you are stepping forward now & thats wonderful.....Like you I so worry more about my animals than I do myself...& i see that I tend to react a lot like you, not sleeping, eating well & then crying for what seems like no reason.....but no matter how bad it gets I always take care of the animals...just like you.....how is little Bella doing?...have to tell you that sheep banner pattern I got from you is so cute, I made it as a gift for a friend & used burlap as the backing instead...must say its going to get a lot of use I think...the pattern that is...lol.....your in my mind & in my heart dear hen....xoxo...Michele'

Good Morning Michele and Ladies
Many thanks for your kind words - your so right the animals can be the best judge and also our focus to get us thru. I am thrilled you enjoyed the pattern - it is a great one... Would love to see the finished project if you have one but NO Pressure.....
Debbie has been a great blessing on I know she is doing good work for her family right now. She sent me the most amazing box of goodies in the mail Friday and it touched my heart so deeply to know that someone I have never met care so much. I am so very blessed to have my sweet framgirl connections.
Also, I want to give a very big shout out to Jenny who's Rose Jelly arrived Friday and I had to put it immediatly on some sourdough toast and savor every bite. The Rose Jelly is the best I have ever tasted and I urge you all to stop into her shop and sntach some up - you will never taste anything so yummy, delicate and refreshing. Many thanks Jenny for producing the BEST!!! I was one lucky farm girl to have won your drawing... Many thanks and blessings.
Hope everyone has the best weekend ever. Prayers to you all.

Cherime I would love to talk with you if you agree as to how you decided to move to Alaska? That place has had a calling on me for many years now and I am wonder why and also would love to hear more from someone who lives there. Only if you wish to - you could email me off forum. Thanks so much Joey. Wednesday afternoon the rug was pulled out again - I lost my sweet wee one Opal (Posted on the animal forum) then got hit with three huge hail storms - not the only one in Colorado who is facing a big mess this morning, last but not least spent the night in the basement with duck and cover procedures because of Tornado warnings. So I spent the night crying and praying and wondering when will this mess show me the good??? I know compared to others troubles this seems small but it has been coming for so many years that I kept thinking at some point this will get better??? I will spend some extra time today giving thanks for those things that I see and pray for guidance for those I can't.
Sorry to be a "Debbie Downer" again...
