I'm right there with you, Grace. I wish I had some words of encouragement, but between the feud with my crazy neighbor over a fence, and burying 3 dear relatives in the last year, two in the last month, I'm barely keeping my head above water. I know it will get better, and lady, you are one tough cookie--with a HUGE heart. Which is why this stuff beats you down after a time. I care about you and I hope that you know I think of you often, and wish you strength over the miles, even though we've never laid eyes on one another.

Jonni, I know we have never met but the connections I feel with you ladies distance could not effect. It seems our losses comes in waves and at times we feel like we are drowning. Two years ago I had lost four dear friends in as many months - I had their friendship in my life for so long it was like dieing myself. Then last year my two oldest friends in the world seemed to have mental breakdowns, left their families, left the state and left not a word... I know as we get older the losses keep coming and at some point we will be gone too but I have been so strong for so long I really just want a bit of calm and piece. I see everyone's pain around me and just wished for them also calm and piece. Prayers are not seeming to be helping...
Yet, it is right now all I know what to do.

dear grace, i too have been away from the farmgirl site for quite sometime, but i did checkin every once in a while to check on some of my favorite sister here.
of course, you and jonni are right up there at the top of the list.
i am first of all so sorry that you have been feeling so low. you bring so much beauty and joy into the lives of others that it is hard for me to image you feeling sad. but of course we all hae highs and lows and no one is immune from life and the feelings it brings to us.
i will have you in my prayers and thoughts and hope that you will come out the other end of this with the same hope and joy that you always bring to others.
i dont really know what is happening, but it does seem that your life is calling out for a change.
one of our ladies here in north texas has a farm/business similar to yours and the dallas paper ran a piece about her, she has a csa, like maryjane has for food, but hers is for fiber.
i will be reading your blogspot so i can try to catch up on what is going on, but in the meantime, please know that you are loved here at this site, and i will keep you in my prayers for a great resolution for you.

Grace, Have been getting caught up on these posts. Life too has kinda hit my family hard, especially this summer!
Know that people are praying for you! And many of us understand all you are facing and going thru. It is very difficult times in our country right now. It helps some to know that we are not alone in all we are facing! Does not make it any less difficult however tho!
I pray and hope that each day brings a better peace and hope to you!

Dearest Frannie and Linda - Thank you so much for the kind words and prayers. Your right Frannie it is not like me to find myself down or ready to give up - that is why I decided to ask for assistance in my sweet farmgals. I knew you would all understand and I had hoped that you would share your strength with me. Life is never a cake walk and I have had my trails and then some as we all have but I must say I was feeling like I was sinking and no way was shown. I am presently listening to inspirational disks to put my mind back on a productive path - I am working on my control issues that makes me feel like if I don't do it all by myself then somehow I failed and last I read and listen to my sweet dear farm sisters.
Work on the roof starts tomorrow so I will work in the barn to remove myself from the noise. The doors and windows are ordered and soon will be in the house. The crushed barn has been dismantel and the new one will be complete in about a months time. I focus each day on placing one foot in front of myself and also opening up my mind and heart to new adventures.
I again want to thank everyone for their love, support and kind words. I have you all in my heart and prayers as well and I count you all as my blessings.

I have been away and just saw this post. You are a true inspiration and you are only human. Keep your chin up and count your blessings every day. I am sure that when the farm is put back together it will help. I know it is not much, but I will be ordering some of your beautiful yarn next week when I get payed. Oh my Diane that is so sweet about the yarn - you do not know how much it means to me - during this very hard and dark time my constent is my love and passion for what I do - the other night I finally got to spin and it was like my soul could breath. The world is right when I am doing my fiber and I hope it shows and feels in my work. I have some great new yarns and also some new art batts going on the Etsy shop soon - I think they are really special and they have shown me that I can bring light when I feel all around me is dark...
You sweet words and kindness means the world to me and I do count you all in my blessings.

Hi Grace. I have been out of touch for a while, went outside, as we Alaskans refer to the lower 48, to visit several relatives and old friends while having the wherewithall to do so. I most certainly will email you. Alaska has done alright by me and I intend to stay here. My ex died while I was away and named me executor of his will. So I will be busy for a bit but I really do want to get with you. Will continue to pray for you.

Oh Cherime I am so sorry for your loss and the work that is ahead of you. Take care of yourself and know that you are in my prayers.. Hope your trip was joyful and that you had quality time with them on your "Went Outside"..
Sherrye - life has been busy and not always working but still standing. The roof is done as of noon on Sunday!! A half hour after they left the skies opened open with sheets of rain, small hail and wind. I walked the house checking for leaks and praying that all would be fine. It was and I guess it was God's way of showing me that at least one problem was solved. The guys also came and hauled off the crushed barn - it was bitter sweet but I am glad the guy will be able to use it. I gave the guys dinner - they had not eaten all day and were thankful for the hot meal and rest for a spell.
Sherrye I have been keeping you in my prayers and hope that your worries are getting smaller too.
Frannie it sounds like you had a joyful time with your daughters and I thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts. I am working on keepping my focus on the postative side which is not always what I can do but I am also working on being kinder to myself for when I fall into the pit.
If I might ask for your prayers for my DIL Grandfather - he had another stroke (92 years old) and is the person in charge of taking care of his wife. It is a mess and my DIL just got back from visiting and now sits in worry and pain. Thanks in advance my dear sisters - Love and Light to you all

Prayers, love and happy thoughts coming your way from the beautiful mountains of Colorado which I know you have as well Grace, but I love saying it:-) I will keep your DIL's family in my prayers and thoughts as well.
I have been busy this morning taking pictures of the fawns they were quite entertaining this morning and I believe I got some more wonderful photos. It makes my heart so happy to watch them and I feel such peace, just wish my family were here to share them with me.
Started back working this morning listing on etsy and ebay, vacation is over.
Have a beautiful, happy, peaceful and blessed week.

Thanks for the prayers and enjoy the bounty that is Colorado. My baby minks are back - think they where scared of all the workmen and noise. My nerves are trying to mend today - peace and quite is needed for us all today.

Received so much bad news between last night and early this morning that I really felt so down that I was just beside myself. I went outside and got to work and kept my body busy but when I had to come inside to get work done there a the wave of sadness came back... Is it just me who really has to stay away from the News, sometimes family and just our own thoughts at times right now??? Just had the workmen here remeasuring the windows and doors before ordering and the one man's energy is so sad and down that I feel like I am drowning - I know he is not my problem but his energy is exactly what I feel when I am in town - big drain... Is this just me??

No Grace it isn't just you. I feel a wave of sadness so much of the time - I think everyone is drowning in it. I try to only watch the weather and leave the news alone as well.

Oh Grace, I so understand the feeling of having nothing left *hugs* I have suffered from recurring severe depression for years. Some days I am too breakable to look at the news or deal with the problems of the world, you are certainly not alone. I am so sorry that you are in such a dark place inside. Wishing big blessings of love and light to you and saying prayers for peace and comfort as well

Annika I thank you for your kind words - that was one reason why I decided not to watch TV for a week - it seems like such gloom and doom and the networks only sell the bad... I last night watched a DVD that came in mail and spun yarn - needed to get some joy and peace..
Sheri I agree sometimes during different anniversary dates the sadness appears but I find that passes quicker then this daily stress of worry...
I do thank you so much ladies for letting me share here - normally I keep this all inside and I think that is what has brought me to this - overload of years of worry and silence. You are my sunshine ladies.

hi grace, was wondering how you are. i read you have the roof on barn just before the rains. that was good. hoping things are still moving forward for you. i do agree this is a big bad world right now. it seems that everyone is touched by this bad storm of time. now we wait on the u.s. budget. the bible does prophecy about these difficult times hard to deal with. men would be lovers of themselves haughty. we are surely seeing the changes on the earth from mans steps here. so my hope is this old world will be renewed and a paradise on earth will be here for man. i am an earth girl. my hope lies in getting to live here on earth the way God had it planned. this old world is passing away. i am so ready. we are finally warm this week. nights are cold but days a nice. we have had a weird year of temps for sure. sending you hugs grace and love. sherrye

Wonderful to hear from your Sherrye you have been on my mind. The roof is on the house and I now have the replacement front and kitchen doors in - doing the happy dance. Also replaced the kitchen faucet that was dripping to no end. The bathroom toilet is also fixed and so things are getting done. The three windows are to come in next week sometime and so that will be a long process but a great one. I am trying to stay in a good place and not worry as much but I admit I am a worry wart by nature.
I wake each morning remembering that there are folks out there that care about my - My wonderful farmgirl sisters and that I have been brought here to make a difference and to be an example of connecting to the earth and those in my care. I just wished I could find more like minded folks in this area that are not wrapped in the world of things and false information - it seems like so many are running around buying into the hyp of media and lack - they have given their power up to those who do not have their best interests in mind and then they do nothing about it... It is draining to be around them.
So again I give thanks for my caring sisters... Many heartfelt thanks and I send you all Love and Light back.

I was just out watering the sheep and goats and was thinking how peaceful it was to just stand and watch/listen to them placidly eating the grass around me and I thought of you and wished the same peace to you. I said a little prayer for lightness of spirit and comfort for the soul to come to you when you are feeling despair and just in your every day life.
I'm so happy to hear of the progress on your property and home! I is always a relief to just have things done and not to be worried about any longer. Please know that you are in my thoughts every day

Thank you so much for the wonderful thoughts and prayers - I too this morning gave time during chores to just listen to the sounds of my farm and give thanks for it all. I posted on my blog about a morning breakfast guest - it is just magical at times what happens at this farm and I know there is a high power working at all times...
