i am happy to hear things are moving forward for you grace. i am such a controling person its hard for me when things go wrong. i have a lot of empathy for your challenges. so i am glad the roof is done and the fixtures. so how much land do you live on? do you have a large flock? i think my favorite time with the stock is eve. when their tummies are full. they are getting relaxed for bed. i am able to love on ones that normally hide in the back of the group. they seem to feel calmer and safer before bed. so sending you hugs and love grace i hope this day finds you happy and seeing things getting done. sherrye

Thanks Sherrye - I have 35 acres and I have 63 goats, 3 llamas and 3 Great Pry's. Counting the hens 29 of this sweet ones and silly me. Our numbers are the lowest I ever had on the farm normally the numbers were around 250 not counting lambing season... I am with you Sherrye I am learning how not to sweat the small stuff and I tell you it is going to be a long process. However, I have surprised myself with how I am not being as compulsive with things - even my sons have commented. I thank you for you kind thoughts and your wonderful sharing with me - I have learned also I am not alone in this.

Grace, Sometimes is does feel like we are in the underbelly of life, doesn't it? I don't have anything to add that others haven't said. Just know that I hear you and honor your courage and honesty as you wrestle with economic realities. I hope that by now things are looking better, and that you can find joy the the beauty of Colorado and the life you have created.

That I would give an update - I have the windows and doors on my house and so now I will get to work on painting them. Still unsure about the barn - had too many bad feelings about the company. I am still struggling to figure out how to get the finances in order - I understand how everyone else is struggling and what I do is not necessary items to others. I pray each day that guidance will be shown and I try to stay focused on all the blessings that are around me. My dearest Sugar who so many times was knocking on deaths door is still with me and is doing his best to make it through each day. He is my example to keep moving forward no matter what and so I thank him for my biggest blessing. I also thank each and everyone one of you for your kind words, prayers and shoulders. I am truly blessed.

You go Sugar, keep your momma going. Oh Grace I was so happy to hear that Sugar is still with you, what an inspiration he is for you. Just have to love our animals, they teach us so very much.
Hang in there Dear Friend, everything will work out the way it is suppose to for you but all good things take time.
You know you are still and always in my heart, thoughts and prayers daily.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

As you are my Dear Friend - daily prayers and blessings. Last night enjoyed a great bath with my goodies once the power was restored after our storm. Sugar this morning ate his oatmeal while letting my rub his head and hug on a bit. He ate some shredded apple this afternoon for lunch. Great old soul he is.

Im commenting to your first post...Im struggling too....definately have my blessings close at heart & mind, but alot of things are out of my hands right now too. When I am at low points and there are those who criticize this, I say, At least I got out of bed!...bc there were times I couldnt do that! Nope couldnt do that. So the smallest of things, like my dear younger brother always guided me, are to be cherished. May his soul rest in peace.
Bless you, keep praying, God answers prayers its true but sometimes it takes 30 years.
Farmgirl warm wishes to all!
