After reading the prayer request for the Marine, I feel unworthy of asking for prayer for myself, but my pain is also numbing.
I suffer from depression (and have for years); medication helps but I have not been taking it as I should lately. I am unemployed--so is my husband. I've requested prayer on this site before for our circumstances but it has come to a head today. I've not been taking my medicine because I cannot afford it; what works best for me has no generic so without insurance, there is no money for it.
I have my hearing this week to determine continuing unemployment benefits (I've been getting it so far because of the backlog of applicants) so I reviewed the paperwork today that my former employer has submitted for their argument. I was devasted when I read it. I can honestly say before each of you and in the presence of God that I am not "guilty" of any of their allegations. It boils down to new management not liking me and in this state, I have no recourse.
After reading this, I feel my problem(s) don't compare to what some of you, and your friends, are going through. But today, I just want to lay down, pull the covers over my head, and cry for a whole week.
I just want it all to be over with.
Thank you all for listening, thank you for praying. I know I should take my own advice (that I've tried to share with all of you in other posts)---I'm just finding it difficult today.
Hugs, Darlene

Dearest Darlene First off I will pray for all to be resolved for your highest good but then I must say you are worthy of asking for help, prayers and understanding. This is not a contest as to only the one's with the worst life get's prayed for or has folks care about them. We all walk thru life with things that happen to us that is more then we can bear - trust me I am walking that right now but had to ask for prayers because after trying to deal with it all myself I was feeling like I was standing on the edge of a cliff and had no way of coming back. Just know I am here for you - mess and all but I am always willing to stand next to someone who feels they can not walk one more step.
I know there are wonderful ladies here who have held me up in my time of need and I will be there for them and you if you let me.
We all need at times that hand and understanding. I will place you in my prayers and will pass you name on to others. Hugs and Love

You are worthy of all God has in his storehouse. If you were the only person in the whole world Jesus would have died for you. You are so precious to God that he catches every tear you cry. His thoughts toward you are more numerous than the grains of sand on a beach. If you were to fly to the ends of the earth or the bottom of the sea, He would know where you are and will always be with you. We so often feel alone when He is only a breath away. May He bless you with all the blessing of Abraham. Big Hugs Darlene

Darlene~ You need to take your meds. Look on the label or go to your pharmacy and find out who makes the drug. The pharmacist should be able to give you an 800 number to call. Most, if not all, pharmaceutical companies have some kind of assistance program for poeple who can noy afford their meds. Also - go see the doctor who prescribed the meds for you. Explain your situation. He or she may know of additional programs to help you or even change your meds to a cheaper kind. Also you need to tell your doctor how you are feeling. You are entitled to your feelings, and in the case of depression, you are not in control of those feelings.
Believe me Darlene, I know of what I speak. Suffice it to say I have walked in your shoes and come out at the other end, not unscathed, but still whole. Please, if you feel like talking just message me.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Through my tears, I have read your responses so far and I feel I can cry even more; not from sadness or depression but from the care and support I actually feel.
I can't thank you enough for the time you took to formulate your kind advice and support. You are truly wonderful people.
Hugs back, Darlene

Darlene, never ever feel that you are unworthy of asking for prayer. We are supposed to ask. Otherwise, how will we be helped? I am sorry you are having so much trouble with your previous employer and that they are saying things that aren't true about you. And that you are unable to get your meds for this depression. Is there not some sort of agency that can help you there? I will be praying for you to get through this time and that you can find some help in getting back on your meds. Right now I am sending you good thoughts and prayers and hugs. I do pray you will get back on the right track and are feeling better soon.
Hugs, Kris

Darlene...what a beautiful name. So many of us have said it that it must be worthy. God has put you here for a purpose, though you might not know what that is yet.
I suffered from depression and took many different meds over 20 years. My story isn't important, except in saying I know what you feel.
My response to this is wanting you to think about what is really important. Food, shelter, and clothing. If you are meeting those needs then that is enough with concern to money. Many times in a hard situation we put too much importance on things that simply can't be met. I read a craigslist ad the other day that said they were looking for someone to donate a car to a very needy, poor family. I wondered how that would help if they were so poor they wouldn't be able to afford the rising gas prices, much less insurance.
If God provides for even the birds, how much more will He provide for you? I pray your hearing will go in your favor. Remember you are not lost because your farmgirls know you and love you.

Thank you ALL so much for such kind and encouraging words. It has helped boost my spirits and given me hope about my situation.
I have checked into medication assistance programs and am getting applications to my doctor, etc. I hope to hear something soon!
I have been working on responses to allegations against me regarding my former employer and it has really taken its toll on me. My hearing is scheduled tomorrow from 11:00am until 12:00 noon. I come boldly before God and you dear sisters to request your prayers during that time. I pray that God will give me direction and correct (and possibly) kind words to say. I have no feelings of "revenge"---I just want the chance to continue looking for employment but with the monetary assistance drawing unemployment would give me.
Again, I am so very grateful for wonderful sisters like all of you!

Darlene, Don't ever feel you are not worthy! Wish you could hear my nine year old's favorite song, "Who Says" by Selena Gomez. You are worthy! You deserve a happy life. There is no contest as to whose problems are the greatest. Keep your chin up. I do know that no matter what industry you are in, because of the economy, many bosses think they can treat employees however they wish and push them harder than they would if jobs were plentiful. Hang in there, sweetie, and know that we farmgirls love you and will keep you in our prayers!
Hugs,
Nicole

Well. . .the hearing today. . . .
I'm feeling better about the situation. It lasted one hour and has to be continued at a later date, but seems every question my ex-boss was asked, he just wasn't really sure about what happened. He had no concrete answers and could not find paperwork that he was asked to produce.
It's because there are no conrete answers. . . .their case was based on lies! Even the judge seemed a little confused at his answers. I cannot thank each of you enough for thinking of me and praying so steadfastly. I have been so emotionally upset about this whole termination thing and the hearing, etc. that I made myself physically sick. You all have helped me through it, though.
Hugs and more hugs to you! Darlene
